PLEASE READ

Having left the project for an extended time before, I know how it is to come back and find a whole long list of new headers saying "Welcome back" or "we missed you". So I ask this: Please, for this dear user's sake, find a header that has already been created and reply under that one. It makes coming back a lot easier. :) —  $PЯINGrαgђ  P.S. and have fun too! :) Learn from Johntex and relax. ;) 00:17, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • That may be true, but Springeragh top-posted me. I want credit for being here first! I missed you the most!  ;-) Johntex\talk 00:15, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • That's Springeragh, and for the record, I was third. Acalamari beat me to it. --Kyoko 00:18, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yeah, Johnny, I think something like 'pringeragh would have looked better. :P But there's that strange ring to it… —  $PЯINGrαgђ  00:21, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • GET A GRIP. This is ridiculous. She unprotected her page, and made a new user page. No more. We have an encyclopedia to build folks. I'd be as happy to see Sharon back as the rest of you but I don't see her. Let her come back and do something encyclopedic, then talk to her about that, instead of all rushing to be the first or to post another 100k of greetings messages. Wikipedia is not MySpace. We all love Phaedriel but none of this is helping build an encyclopedia. --kingboyk 20:44, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sharon is back now and can take care of her own page :) --kingboyk 15:38, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, you may not remember me, but I had supported your RfA last year, under my prior username User:Tachikoma. I don't fully know the circumstances behind your extended absence from Wikipedia, and you needn't feel obliged to tell me. All you need to know is that I, and so many, many other people here have missed you, and I for one am glad to see you back. --Kyoko 23:45, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Phaedriel: I don't believe our paths have crossed, as you were becoming less active on Wikipedia just as I was getting more involved, but based on what I have seen and read and heard of you, I am quite excited to see you back here. In fact, I had posted just yesterday here that I hoped to see you return to editing, and here you are. Congratulations on your baby, and with every good wish. Sharon, I don't know if you were aware of this, but there was a rumor going around that... well, that something horrible had happened to you (and I must admit, I did my part in telling people about "did you hear the terrible news about Phaedriel?"); I'm so glad to see that it was false. WP:Indigenous peoples of North America

Hi Phaedriel! Good to see you've returned. I think I started editing Wikipedia with this username right around the time you left, so I guess we don't know each other yet. Except I kind of feel like I know you since I was doing some work on WP:IPNA for a while after you had left. Mostly with migrating comments from the old classification system. Except I only got like, ten done or something? It takes longer than one would think! Anyway, the good news is you returning has reminded me that I haven't done any work on that in months. So just, you know, keep reminding me constantly to work on it or I'll probably forget again (seriously. Remind me. Constantly. Please). Congratulations on motherhood, and best wishes! --Miskwito 03:35, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for being vigilant, but... :)

Composite Operator has been requested for speedy deletion by its editor and creator here, and the matter has be set before the AfD committee here. There's not reason to not do as the creator/editor requested: he/she has notes on the talk page that all the relevant info has been merged into another article: i.e., what we were discussing in AfD has already been done.

If replacing the CSD tag will gum up the process somehow, I'll refrain. Holding off, then, until I hear from you :) Thanks!

Hi Sharon, congratulations and welcome back. I hope you aren't too overwhelmed by all of this attention, but you really have been missed. I (and I am sure others) have regularly checked your contributions to see if there had been any activity, and I despaired that one of our most valuable contributors and one of our better new admins had left the project. More importantly though, I worried about your well-being. I wanted to e-mail you, but I held back in the interest of preserving your privacy, which had already been so violated. Hey; cheers for the deletion (above). Although I close a large amount of debates a day, I normally leave the deletes for a sysop. However, I seen this one has quite a lot of tension, and that the dispute was ongoing, so I saw fit to step in, acting as normal, but requesting WP:CSD#G6 at the last stage, as I don't have access to the Mop.

Thanks again!

You're back, I'm gone...

Hi; noticed the flurry of welcome-back postings....so welcome back. But in the next couple of weeks I'll be pretty much disappearing from Wikipedia for a while, as real life calls and the impracticality of Wiki-ing several hours a day has finally hit home, as much fun as it's been (sometimes). FYI my work on BC First Nations articles has rolled onward, and some other contributors have taken up the bandwagon there on bringing BC up to speed in its coverage and article-content and organization; if you've any questions of needs about aboriginal or other article topics in BC, feel free to contact User:OldManRivers, who is Skwxwu7mesh, or User:Keefer4 or just make a post on the Wikipedia:WikiProject British Columbia talkpage. I'm sorry I'm not gonna be around, but what's gotta be is what's gotta be. Best wishes and all that, and maybe our digi-paths will cross again.Skookum1 02:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and just to thank you for the layout work you did long ago for the Indigenous peoples' project, which I've "lifted" and am trying to wangle onto a new userpage, which will be "up" once I'm gone; the text is still running but you can see a more-or-less recent photo of me (if 2001 is recent...) as well. Any tips on spiffing up the userpage layout appreciated, but I know you're a superbusy girl so no big deal if you can't take the time.Skookum1 08:42, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I have no clue why but when I try to update something I see doubles on the page. It's not even actual doubles, I have my old version of the page on top and in a random cell of one of the userboxes my new code renders in that cell (so everything is in there twice...kinda) The only solution right now is to clear the page, save it, and paste the new code back in for it to not do that... hahaha it's one of those things where I'm fudging it so it kinda works. Do you have any clues as to why it's doing that? I'm still a beginner at inserting userboxes and tables etc.  :) Thanks for paying attention to what I'm doing. Jameson L. Dia duit ar maidin! Gabh mo leithscéal, ach ba mhaith liom tagair do Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill. Tá sí file ar fheabhas a Gaeilge! Ar ndóigh, fáilte ó chroí a Phaedriel! Slán go fóill! gaillimhConas tá tú? 06:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
LOL!! Tá gaelgóirí i ngach áit. Agus sin fíor, a Ghaillimh, mar 's maith liom an file sin freisin. Agus Í as Cúige Mumhan freisin :) Léigh an ceann seo - Alison 06:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back

Glad to see you're back. We (obviously all) missed you over here. :) —Pilotguy cleared for takeoff 13:47, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Belated welcome back :). It's nice to know that one of Wikipedia's most important contributors has returned. -- Where 17:17, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank You.

Thank you for the beautiful picture. :) Acalamari 16:23, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am glad you like it. :) Acalamari 18:11, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Responded. :) Acalamari 19:04, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Have this star I created. It doesn't match the beauty of the image you gave me, but I hope it's still special. - Acalamari 18:00, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

:-)

Just a short hello for now. Glad you are back! :-) --HappyCamper 19:37, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Belated welcome back!

I really missed you and your cheerful attitude. And congratulations on your newborn! Миша13 20:21, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This heading just about sums it up for me :-). I hope the baby isn't as bad as I (supposedly) was, I'm sure it won't be. CarrotMan 06:44, 25 April 2007 (UTC) p.s. Your page is murder for a 400 Mhz processor, there's so many welcomes![reply]

e-mail alert

Hi Sharon, thanks for the e-mail, I've replied. I guess you don't mind being told of e-mails, because everybody else seems to tell you of theirs. Have a good day! --Kyoko 21:07, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back!

A circle of good friends.

Hi Sharon, we haven't met, but I missed your warm and sunny manner when you were gone. You brighten Wikipedia for a lot of us, and I really admire your openness, your unabashed affection and your enthusiasm. Hoping that your little princess is doing well, Willow 03:35, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I too was going to post a welcome back message, but crikey! There's already enough of them to fill an entire archive! So, rather than clutter up an already busy page with more headers or pictures, I'll just say a simple "Good to see you again". Laïka (Smurrayinchester) 17:52, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've been fine; I've currently just finished getting winter service vehicle up to (hopefully!) FA status, but I've got A-levels coming up soon, so I'm trying to cut down on my Wiki-workload! I'm just curious; if you don't mind my asking, what's the meaning behind your username; I've always thought it one of the nicer and more distinctive ones. It's great to see you again! Laïka 19:12, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, my real user name is simply my name and location (Smurray in Chester, UK), but the name I use in my signature, Laïka, is taken from: the famous dog, a breed of really cute dog and one of my favourite songs. Laïka 20:03, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you're not busy...

...do you mind coming on Google Talk? I'm rather bored at the moment >_> P.S., I love what's in the sandbox. Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 15:53, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And again, pretty please? Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 14:11, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good to see you here again

Welcome back, dear, and congratulations! So sorry I am late here... I am only able to be on erratically these days. I am so happy to see you here, though! Wikipedia is a brighter place with you in it. KillerChihuahua?!? 21:50, 24 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sandbox screw-up...

Is this supposed to happen? Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 13:22, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

8-O —  $PЯINGrαgђ  22:35, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now, now Sharon, my hair is red but that's where I want to keep it. ;) Really I didn't try to be—ah, shall we say—ostentatious with them; I think it's just that you deserve them, eh? ;) Although Will does too but somehow I gave him all his at the same time -blush- —  $PЯINGrαgђ  04:18, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

userpage suggestion

Hi Sharon, I like your new design. If I may be so bold to suggest a change... I read your touching tribute to those Wikipedians who have chosen to leave, and I wondered if you might want to add links to the different users' names. I hope that this message finds you in good spirits, and I hope that things are going better for all of your friends. --Kyoko 01:13, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I would be honoured to write something for Elara, but I also wonder if she might prefer to write something herself. I can ask her if you'd like. Then again, it might be more meaningful to her if it were written without any input from her. Please let me know what you think. --Kyoko 12:53, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to think of something appropriate. Thanks! --Kyoko 13:10, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I put a preliminary text on your page. I hope Elara likes it. I tried to capture her outspokenness, her compassion, and her dedication to the project, before she decided to leave it. I wasn't certain whether to mention the many tragedies in her life. If you want to see an alternate dedication, look at this old revision of my userpage, under the "Some thoughts" section. --Kyoko 13:44, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'll ask her about it later, but I really have to go now. Have a good day! --Kyoko 14:04, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

Just welcoming you back after noticing this page on my 5000 page watchlist :/
Congrats on the baby :)

I'm fine, just came back from a long wikibreak as well :). I also now run tons of bots and written tons of scripts. Hmm I dunno what else to say ;). GeorgeMoney (talk) 03:13, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

GTalk

I'm back on Google Talk now. System Restore was unsuccessful, btw. Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 01:58, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

/me is still wondering what happened on Google Talk - you disappeared in the 10-20 minutes I was offline! Will (I hope they cannot see, I AM THE GREAT DESTROYER!) 03:19, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

*grin*

Hey

Just dropping by to hola! I didn't get chance to bump into you before you went on your extended wikibreak, but I've always been intrigued to meet the user that got nearly 300 on their RfA, you seam like one of the most pleasent wikipedians I have ever met. I wish you all the look in the future, and hope you don't decide to leave again! All the best, and if you ever need anything, you know where I am. Thanks for fixing my user page

It's interesting that a spammer in London I reverted and warned recently has a friend in the US state of Arkansas to delete his warnings and then do some other dirty work for him. Regards, CliffC 19:37, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RFC

Seeing an admin in this Temporal single-system interpretation article was a massive relief. Seeing the crazy amount of edits and reverts that have been made on that page in the past day I (think) i opened a RFC on the talk page. It would be a great help if you could look at it and see if I put it in the right place or if I was supposed to post it somewhere else. I stuck my head in there for a minute and someone was already getting mean, haha. Anyway thanks for anyhelp I can get. MrMacMan Talk 20:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Simple English Wikipedia impersonator

Hello, Phaedriel. I am an administrator at the Simple English Wikipedia, and today we blocked a vandal-only account by the name of "Phaedriel" (talk page). It's clear that this account isn't you; therefore, I will submit a request to change the offending username to something else. Once the request is done, I strongly suggest you register an account over there to prevent any further impersonation. Cheers, Sean William 20:01, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

TSSI revert

I don't understand: why did you revert to what is obviously the least neutral edit?
