The band first formed as Eddie Murphy as Rhythm Guitar, and Brent Roth on drums. After having several jams at Lennon Studios, they've decided to become a Punk band. While Brent Roth being in another band (Storm Temple) they quickly decided to call themselves, "The Polluted Youth" After jaming for quite some time, they decided to get a singer. A singer/friend from school, Ben...(Pigeon Lord) and they jamed and had a couple of riffs. With Storm Temple (Brent's Sec. Band) being much further, The Polluted youth, weren't as serious. They were kind of like, "Let's just see what happens" After a couple of months of just Eddie, Brent, and Ben, they found out there was an upcoming gig with a few other bands, and The Polluted Youth wanted to participate. On the other hand, them not having a bass player, or any songs of their own, it was more difficult to participate on the show. They've decided to ask Brent's old buddy Raffael Santos, a.k.a. Ralf, (Who Was Gonna Be The Damn Ticket Taker For The Show) to play lead guitar and Eddie would switch over to Bass. With Ralf coming into the band, he was able to lead the band into a slightly different direction. He lead them into a Alternative Metal side. After one practice with Ralf, Eddie decided that he no longer wanted to play Bass, so now they have two guitarists, and no bass player. After a few rerhearsals for the show, Ben...(Pigeon Lord) Decided that he wanted to leave the band, because he wanted to do 1 1/2 min. songs, and the rest of the band didn't agree. (Basically Music Difference) All the band members looked to Ralf and demanded that he'd sing. Ralf objected at first because of his unbelievable love for lead guitar, and he wanted no part in singing. Moments later he was convinced, and he sings to this day. Weeks later Brent searched around for a Bass player or any one who's willing to play bass, and he came across another person (Jack Friel) who wanted to join The Polluted Youth. Brent informed Jack that we needed a bass player. Jack was able to put the guitar down and switch over to bass. After the first show, Jack would no longer be playing for Polluted Youth. With Brent Always wanting to play Bass ever since he was involved with music, this would be the perfect oppurtunity for him to switch over to Bass guitar. We then need to find a drummer as quick as possible due to our up coming show. Brent had a friend in mind, (Lucas Castro) that was on the verge of leaving his other band, and he quickly joined the band.

Lagunitas Brewing Company is an American brewer, operating a microbrewery in Petaluma, California. They are known for beers with higher than average alcohol content and irreverant stories on their packaging.
In 2005 the brewery's license was suspended for 20 days when the state department of alcoholic beverage control witnessed marijuana consumption at the brewery's parties. The brewery chose to satirize this event by producing a special release of "Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale". It's label includes a libertarian diatribe satirizing the authorities and drug prohibition.

Begun by Otto Mears in 1890, the Rio Grande Southern (RGS) was a narrow gauge (3 foot) railway linking Ridgway, Colorado at it's northern terminus with Durango, Colorado by way of towns such as Ophir, Colorado, Rico, Colorado, Vance, Colorado, Dolores, Colorado, and Mancos, Colorado. It also connected to the town of Telluride, Colorado.
Brief History
Initially, revenue on this new railroad was so high, Mears issued railroad passes in gold and silver, shipping them in buckskin cases, which made them quite a conversation piece and generated a lot of publicity for the little road. Alas, the Panic of 1893 caused mine after mine to close in the San Juan Mountains and the Rio Grande Southern would struggle financially for decades, hauling mostly ore, passengers, and livestock, before finally falling to abandonment in 1955. This abandonment broke the Narrow Gauge Circle, a thousand-mile loop of narrow gauge railroading in central and southern Colorado.
Innovation
The financial hardship caused by the Great Depression of the 1930s threatened to strangle the RGS unless stronger cost-saving measures were applied. As a result, the men in the RGS shops cobbled together the first famed Galloping Goose, which consisted of a motor car with a widened Pierce-Arrow body for passengers mounted on a frame with a boxcar on the back to handle any freight.
Additionally, due to the dramatic topography of the western San Juan mountains, engineers building the RGS were forced to use sharp curves and steep grades, limiting the tonnage per train. Trestles and loops, like the Ophir Loop and Trout Lake, were used to gain the necessary altitude to crest Lizard Head Pass. Lizard Head Peak, a dramatic spire visible from the pass, served as the railroad's herald.
Seeing the RGS
Over 50 years since the abandonment of the railroad, a surprising amount of the RGS remains, including many miles of abandoned grade, the tank at Trout Lake, depots, and the remains of Butterfly Trestle. Much of the route is traversed by the San Juan Skyway Scenic Byway.

The department of Metallurgical engineering of M.S University, Baroda, which started in the year 1966, is the only department for this discipline in the state of Gujarat. It is located in central part of the state along the golden corridor of industries from Vapi to Mehsana. The first gas based sponge iron plant of India in private sector is located hardly 140 kilometers, while largest plant of India (0.15 MTPA) producing copper and precious metals in only 90 kilometers away. At the periphery of the city are located Indias one of the largest oil refineries, petrochemical plants and fertilizer industry. Many foundry and fabrication industries are also present in and around the city. Under this fortunate setting, the department continues its journey towards excellence and quest for quality in education and research.
This is the only department in the State of Gujarat offering U.G., P.G., and Doctoral level instruction in metallurgical engineering. It is housed in a building with over 25000 square feet floor area with a dozen teaching and research laboratory and 20 teaching faculty. Currently there are about 160 U.G. students in the four years of B.E. degree course, 9 students in the two disciplines of Industrial Metallurgy and Materials Technology for M.E. degree courses and five doctoral students. The department has received funding for research from CSIR, DST, BRNS, ARDB and ADA amongst others, and infrastructure grants from MHRD, also from UGC under DRS and COSIST programme and MODROB from AICTE. The total such funding from the inception of the Department amounts to about Rs. 3 crores.
The department has excellent liaison with local metallurgical, chemical and engineering industries and their facilities are usually fairly easily available to the department. Further, therefore the department is many times a preferred place for investigations, industrial testing and problem solving for these industries. The department has been instrumental in the establishment of local chapters of several professional bodies like IIM, IIF, ISNT and IIW and continues to support and sustain them with teachers of the department playing a pivotal role. Many seminars, conferences and training workshops are organized through this avenue. Efforts of the teachers have resulted in publications in new research areas of thin films, mechanical alloying, sponge iron and CVD in conference proceedings and also referred journals. Additionally developmental, basic and published research work continues in the area of Process Metallurgy, Corrosion and Welding. 51 publications have come out in last 5 years.

1) Revenue generated through industrial testing and consultancy to nearby industries in last six years amounted to be about 22 lakhs. Part of the earning from testing is used for departmental equipment maintenance and repair.

RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS
Mrs Vandana Rao, lecturer in the department was awarded Ph.D degree in Metallurgical Engineering by the M.S.University for her thesis in the field of process Metallurgy in Jan 03.
Mr. Vishvesh Bhadeka was awarded the young scientist award of Rs 11,34,000/- by DST based on his M.E. Thesis on narrow Gap cocpading under the SERC Fact Tract scheme. He was the only one to be awarded in Engg. Science from Gujarat in year 2001-02. Presently he his doing his Ph.D work in the Dept. on the support of this award.
Mr. S.R.Raval , Lecturer has submitted his Ph.D thesis to M.S.U., Baroda for the award of Ph.D degree. He worked in the field of Corrosion Engineering.
The Department joined its hands with IIM Baroda chapter in organizing the megaerent N.M.D ATM of IIM in Nov02 an put up a stall in the exhibition during the above event. Diguitaries of the event visited the Department and appreciated its grasth and development.
For the first time in the faculty of technology & Engg Mr. Vikas Dubey, B.E.III (Met) won the elections for F.G.S uncontested (Above details are as on 25 12 2003)

The Otago Central Railway ran from Wingatui (near Mosgiel, in the city of Dunedin) to Cromwell, Central Otago. The line was cut back by a few kilometres to Clyde, Central Otago by the construction of the Clyde Dam. The line was closed in ?year, but the section as far as Middlemarch was purchased by the Dunedin City Council, partly funded by a public appeal. This section became known as the Taieri Gorge Railway. The remaining formation from Middlemarch to Clyde has been converted to recreational use as the Otago Central Rail Trail.

The Otago Central Railway ran from Wingatui (near Mosgiel, in the city of Dunedin) to Cromwell, Central Otago.
Construction of the Otago Central Branch Railway began in 1877 and the 27-km section to Hindon was opened in 1889. The line was completed to Middlemarch two years later. The branch line was eventually extended to Cromwell, 236 km, by 1921. The Clyde - Cromwell section (20 km) was closed in 1980 due to construction of the Clyde Dam, a hydro-electric power station in the Cromwell Gorge (the gorge of the Clutha River). The line remained open until 30 April 1990, and was used to move construction materials for the dam project. With the completion of the dam in that year, there was little other traffic for the line and the Railways Corporation decided to close the line.
The Otago Excursion Train Trust, which had been formed in 1978 and operated many excursions on the branch line, then stepped in, in partnership with the Dunedin City Council, to form the Taieri Gorge Railway Ltd to purchase the line to Middlemarch, along with some locomotives to operate trains. The remaining line beyond Middlemarch was lifted during 1991. The trackbed was handed over to the Department of Conservation in 1993 and is now the Otago Central Rail Trail, a major tourist attraction in the area.

Biography: Sophus (keyboards) and Johan (guitar) began in an instrumental band with another drummer. The band, which was called "The Unicorns", made their own only instrumental tracks and played them to local gatherings. Later the band wrote lyrics to the music and participated in a couple of music competitions. Then their came a time when the band didn't practice.
Sophus and Johan broke from the drummer. Then nearly a year past. In this time Sophus and Johan practiced alone without a drummer. They made lot of stuff and tracks. The band changed name to "Rhino". Then Rhino searched a new drummer. They chose a drummer called Leif. Rhino practised a lot and made a lot of tracks. They played some concerts and then they changed name to "Navia"!

Sancta Sophia College is a residential college for women within the University of Sydney founded in 1925 by direction of the Catholic archbishop of Sydney, Michael Kelly. "Sancta," as it is known within the university community, is located beside St John's college and was considered the sister college to St John's until John's became co-educational in 2002.
Sancta is the smallest college within the university college network and all undergraduate students are housed within the one building forming a quadrangle around a garden and the college well. The college has a tight knit community of freshers, sophs and seniors. Post graduates include both men and woman who are members of the Senior Common Room. Le Conseil de partenariat euro-atlantique (CPEA) a été établi en 1997 pour succéder au Conseil de coopération nord-atlantique. Il rassemble les 19 pays de l'Alliance et 27 Partenaires (1) au sein d'une instance leur permettant de se consulter régulièrement et de coopérer. Il se réunit périodiquement au niveau des Ambassadeurs et des Ministres des affaires étrangères et de la défense. Au besoin, les chefs d'Etat et de gouvernement des 46 pays membres peuvent également se réunir, comme ils l'ont fait à Washington en avril 1999. Le Sommet du CPEA à Washington a été l'occasion de lancer un débat ouvert sur la coopération en matière de sécurité au sein du CPEA au XXIe siècle. Les dirigeants se sont concentrés sur les principaux défis de sécurité dans la zone du CPEA, notamment sur la situation au Kosovo.

La coordination de l'aide humanitaire fournie par les pays de l'OTAN et les pays partenaires s'est intensifiée en réponse à l'escalade de la crise des réfugiés dans la région à partir de la fin du mois de mars 1999. L'EADRCC a également joué un rôle important au niveau de la coordination des secours humanitaires destinés aux régions de l'ouest de l'Ukraine frappées par des inondations.
Le CPEA contribue également à promouvoir la coopération pratique en matière de sécurité régionale en organisant des séminaires à thème, qui font partie de son plan d'action. Le premier séminaire de ce type sur la coopération régionale s'est tenu en Géorgie en octobre 1998. Depuis, d'autres activités du même genre ont été également été organisées en Lituanie, en Slovaquie, en Bulgarie et en Ouzbékistan.

Singgit Cebu was a Cebu-based television variety show produced by GMA Network as part of its regional programming for the Visayas from 1999 to 2005. Broadcasted as a weekly taped show (with shows shot on stage in Cebu City's shopping malls. Note: Mariel is a fictional character from the fantasy series "Redwall"
Mariel "Gullwhacker" is the daughter of Joseph the Bellmaker. She and her father are on a ship carrying a bell that is sunken (the ship, not the bell) by Gabool the Wild , a powerful searat and ruler of Terramort. Mariel is cast into the sea, and is washed up onto the shore somewhere south of Salmandastron. She manages to make it to Redwall, where she befriends Dandin, the first carrier of the Sword of Martin the Warrior (other than Martin himself, of course).
Mariel, Dandin, and two others journey to Terramort. Gabool is killed by his pet scorpion, and they bring the bell back to Redwall. After the bell is hung in the new bell tower in Redwall, Mariel and Dandin leave Redwall, saying the peace and quiet is not for them, and setting the scene for the next book chronologically , The Bellmaker.

Ginetta de Rogatis (nata a Esch sur Alzette, Lussemburgo, nel 1969) è una poetessa italiana.
Biografia
Compie studi classici; la sua prima raccolta poetica, Ἀποθανεῖν θέλω, risale al 1994, e consiste di componimenti lirici in lingua greca e latina.
Le forme ricevono un’impostazione romantica nella successiva ampia raccolta di liriche in versi sciolti italiani, Il crisantemo appassito (1997), che rimane a tutt’oggi la sua produzione più rappresentativa ed apprezzata; appare chiara la forte influenza della poesia sepolcrale inglese, in particolare dell’opera di Thomas Gray.
Pubblica anche un quaderno di riflessioni, Passare le porte dell’Ade (1998), nel quale enuclea il pensiero di fondo dei suoi versi.
Successivamente si cimenta con una raccolta di versi in lingua francese, La douceur de la mort (1999), con risultati espressivi meno efficaci ma pur interessanti.
Sempre in francese, lingua da lei appresa sin dall’infanzia, è la sua successiva pubblicazione, la prima in prosa: si tratta di una novella, Mon beau-frère (2001), nella quale per la prima volta vi è un distacco dalle tematiche sepolcrali per esplorare ambiti più leggeri, persino con sorprendenti sfumature erotiche; la novella è da lei stessa subito ritradotta in italiano (Mio cognato).
È però una breve parentesi, perché l’interesse dell’autrice ritorna alla poesia e agli argomenti a lei più consoni; più che altro un omaggio al suo già citato ispiratore, Thomas Gray, è la breve raccolta di sonetti in inglese, The paths of glory lead but to the grave (2003).
Più recentemente, l’usuale tematica sepolcrale è sembrata volgere verso una lieve ironia nella raccolta gnomica Τεθνᾶσιν οἱ θανόντες (2005), nella quale vi è anche il ritorno dell’autrice ai modelli formali dell’età classica, con stilemi riconducibili a Teognide di Megara.
