Welcome to the Wikiproject Disney WikiProject. We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of Disney. This WikiProject will attempt to cover the various fields affiliated with Disney: movies, theme parks, merchandise, affiliated actors/actresses, and the Disney Channel.

Goals

  • To organize the various aspects of Disney: Movies, Theme Parks, Merchandise, Actor/Actresses, and Disney television shows from Disney Channel and elsewhere.
  • To set guidelines for types of Disney articles.
  • Get as many to Good-Article or Featured-Article status.
  • Come to an agreement about the attraction infobox. See discussion.

  1. Get Walt Disney (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) to good article status.
  2. Get The Lion King (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) to featured article status.
  3. Expand Hannah Montana (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views).
  4. Clean-up and Monitor Miley Cyrus (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) against vandalism.
  5. Get Rocket Rods (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) to good article status.
  6. Attractions using the infobox Template:Infobox_Disney_attraction need to be converted to using the Template:Infobox_Disney_ride. see the list of attractions using the old template.
  7. Make fair use rationale for posters in Category:Disney Theme Park posters. See discussion.
  8. Create a Disney World attractions template, because Template:disneyrides is far too generic. A Disneyland one has already been created Template:disneyland2, and a California Adventure one is in the works. (see here)
  9. Fill in all attractions on the List of Disney attractions page.
  10. Merge/correct/consolidate all attractions/entertainment on the various List of... pages that exist. Possibly use either one page for all current attractions, past attractions and entertainment or list them on their land page (such as Future World or Fantasyland). See discussion.
  11. Ensure proper linkage/format from each individual Land page to each ride page is accurate and up to date. For example, each park has a link to a Fantasyland page. Make sure the Fantasyland page has the correct rides and/or page links to the proper lists.
  12. I just added a stub for the Mickey Mouse Club serial: Walt Disney Presents: Annette, needs expansion if I don't get there first. Also, the Spin and Marty stub could use some work.
  13. Disney Legend David Stollery (of Spin and Marty) does not have an article yet.
  14. Watch and protect other Disney-related articles (ex.: Lucas Grabeel) from vandalism.
  15. ExpandGo.com - Reality is that Disney renamed it's site, but would this now be a new link in light of settlement with owner of Go.com, Disney version is now: http://home.disney.go.com/lite/index The "Go" name is now used as Disney.Go under Disney.com link redirect similar to Wiki Redirection of links. Are these two related should be linked? Both are short and the first Go.com had no name recognition other than having the name first and similar logo.Kidsheaven 22:30, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  16. Add the correct infobox (currently Template:Infobox_Disney_ride) to all attraction pages. Currently most of the pages are using this infobox, but some don't have an infobox at all.
  17. Watch for vandalism on all Disney Channel series/character articles, especially those pertaining to The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and Hannah Montana.
  18. Add information or article(s) about park area music
  19. The article of Disney's California Adventure really needs to be redone, since now it's basically and Anti-DCA forum disguised as an article.
  20. Rewrite/Cleanup VMK
  21. Protect Hannah Montana-related character pages from vandalism.
  22. Create an infobox to hold attraction technical details to be placed in the main article. This should be a concise list of details which appeal to a broad audience. Details such as opening, type of attraction (flume, etc), etc. Omit details such as "first drop depth & angel", storage location, etc. There are plenty of other fan websites which contain these details which can/should be linked to.
  23. Apply infobox to all park attractions - and move related park specific details to the infobox.
  24. Organize, normalize, and coordinate between various lists of Disney theme park attractions found in Category:Lists_of_Disney_attractions.
  25. For all theme park template boxes, containing lists of attractions, make all attraction names Wiki-links and begin articles that don't already exist.
  26. Make pages for The Prince and the Pauper and a page for Laugh-O-Grams, as well as update the Alice Comedies page.
