Thanks for uploading Image:Rhcpslanecastlelive.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Couldn't see any reason why not

Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Californication (album). Kamryn Matika 19:24, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Really nice work there incorporating all of the comments - I'd have helped out myself, but I've been blocked for the last 24 hours. However, looks like it's going well and very soon we'll have our first FA for the project :) Kamryn Matika 00:51, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding this paragraph:

Immediately following the release of Californication, the band embarked on a world tour to support the record, beginning in the United States. To culminate the US leg of their tour, the Chili Peppers were asked to play at Woodstock '99 which became infamous for the violence that occured there.[38][39] The band was informed minutes before arriving that there were out of control crowds and bonfires in the fields.[38] The situation escalated when the Chili Peppers performed a tribute to Jimi Hendrix's song "Fire" to finish their set. The disruption turned into violence as several women who had been 'crowd surfing' were raped and property was destroyed and looted.[40][41][42][43]

Does Scar Tissue contain any quotes or similar from Kiedis about how he felt about it? Would be nice to end the paragraph with something along the lines of "Kiedis later said that..." Kamryn Matika 05:04, 29 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

I do believe you're a great addition to Wikipedia and a friendly contributor, but not yet ready for Adminship. I hope I was not harsh in any of my assessments. Best wishes, NSR77 TC 23:08, 23 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi NSR and thankyou. I think you were very slightly inaccurate re: pictures as I comment quite often at WP:FP, but having said that I've uploaded three in all my time here so fair enough. I really appreciate that you bothered to write a quite lengthy and heartfelt opinion, rather than following the crowd with "Oppose - doesn't write articles.". The fact you did that, shows you realy value RFA and dig deep into a candidates history. Scrutiny is what it's about, and you obviously gave up valueable time to scrutinise. As it stands I suspect the RFA will not pass. Sadly, I'm at a bit of loss now, as I still believe that I'm really not up to contributing to / creating articles with the level of value others bring. Logically, if I now go and join a wikiproject, or start massive additions to get articles up to GA or FA, it would seem I'm only doing it for the sake of adminship in itself, rather than to give me a couple of buttons to help in the backend maintenance. I guess I view it like this - does the school janitor need to have taught a lesson to be qualified to mop the floor?. All that not withstanding, my thanks for your contribution to RFA, my sincere respect for the Red Hot Chili Peppers contributions - that really is sterling work -, and I hope to see you round the 'pedia! Hey - It's a wiki world!! Pedro |  Chat  17:47, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My thanks for your kind comments. If only there where more editors like you prepared to discuss rather than argue there would be no need for admins at all! Pedro |  Chat  18:08, 24 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RFA

Thanks for the nomination. I'm off to delete the main page... :) CloudNine 08:30, 25 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Singles on Californication

Regarding this change, note that WP:ALBUM now mentions the possibility of using such a section (at WP:ALBUM#Template:Singles), and that such sections have been added to the other albums by this band as well. You say it is unnecessary. Does that apply specifically to this album, or to albums in general? If the latter, your input would be most welcome at WT:ALBUM. (Personally I'm not entirely sold on the singles template, and have brought up some issues with it at WT:ALBUM, but the singles template has been added to the guideline without much discussion.) --PEJL 21:16, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I guess an argument could be made that having singles in the infobox makes it easier to do just that, by having them in a well-defined place. For charting singles, such as on this album, they can be found quite easily in the "Chart positions" section, but that assumes such a section exists (that any singles charted). So what do you think, should we restore the singles? --PEJL 21:25, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really care for it either, I just dislike the inconsistency removing it from just one of the band's albums creates, especially if there is no specific reason why it it was removed from that album as opposed to one of the others. I guess the root of the problem is that the guideline at WP:ALBUM is vague about when the singles template should be used (using the phrase "may be used"). OK, I'll reinstate it, if only to provoke someone else to complain about enough it to spur some discussion. ;-) --PEJL 21:50, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't why the editor not having an account would be relevant. Unlike many other editors (anonymous and non-anonymous) this editor made changes that were almost completely in line with the current guidelines. See Wikipedia:Welcome anonymous editing. --PEJL 22:01, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This contradicts this and this. --PEJL 22:27, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that's possible. Doesn't really change anything though, does it? BTW, there might be something wrong with your user talk page. When I try to edit just this section (clicking [edit], which takes me to this address), I get a message "No such section". Does that happen for you too? --PEJL 22:48, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, that fixed it. It appears that Mediawiki miscalculates the number of sections when there is text on the same line as the section header. --PEJL 22:52, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oops

Thanks. Its late at night here and I'm a bit dopey at the moment. Sorry about that ;) Ceoil 23:02, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll post a review next weekend; it needs a light copyedit, but other than that, I'd be hopeful. Good work and good luck with it. Ceoil 21:20, 29 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Featured. Think we can do it? I can give it a big overhaul tomorrow. (Was there a tour for it? I don't remember.) After I've got another RHCP article to FA I want to try my hand at some history articles (Prague spring jumps to mind). I wonder if there are any good WikiProjects for that. Kamryn · Talk 01:58, 16 July 2007 (UTC) [reply]

Bleh, I ended up being busier than I expected. I'm hoping to look over it today... you know what the really annoying thing is? "By the way" is such a common term that google searches are almost worthless. Kamryn · Talk 04:58, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Scratch that - I just can't do it. Kamryn · Talk 06:29, 19 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FAC

I took care of most of the problems you listed, except the Writing and Art cover. The art cover, I say, should stay (the quote), as it covers extensive, yet good, facts about the album cover, all of it coming directly from a band member. Also, the writing section I chose not to discuss about other songs, mainly because there were no sources talking about any other songs. And if there were, the album was released about 13 years ago, and no other information is available about the album. In fact, I'm lucky to have the info thats there already, due to the fact that the two main documentaries I used as sources are extremely hard to find and watch. Xihix 03:19, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I obtained two other reviews for the critical reception for you. Good enough for you to support now? Xihix 15:11, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think you can cross out all the stuff in your oppose until your support? Since it seems pointless now. Xihix 20:26, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Blood Sugar Sex Magik

The article Blood Sugar Sex Magik you nominated as a good article has been placed on hold. It hasn't failed because it's basically a good article, but there are some minor changes or clarifications needed to be addressed. If these are fixed within seven days, the article will pass, otherwise it will fail. See Talk:Blood Sugar Sex Magik for things needed to be addressed. Giggy UCP 23:40, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

John Frusciante

Hey. As you're probably aware, I'm the one-man army comprising the vast majority of the editing activity on the John Frusciante article—which, despite that self-compliment, isn't a good thing. I've got FA satus in the crosshairs, but unfortunately, there are things that I can't do. Seeing as how you're like the lord of all things Chili Peppers on Wikipedia, I think you can help me. I need help adding images and soundclips to the article. This is the one thing that I can't handle on my own. I noticed that you added an image to the article, (an image that I replaced with an older image I found while browsing through the edit history. It was unfortunately a bit too artsy-fartsy for an encyclopedic article.) which indicates that you have the wherewithal to upload articles. If you're unwilling to aid me in this area then I'll understand and go harrass someone else for help here; but seeing as how you share my love for Frusciante, and you're one of the only actively devoted Chili Peppers editors I can find, I think this is worth a shot. Grim-Gym 03:13, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm pretty confident that it's going to get GA status soon. There aren't a whole lot of things in the article that need sourcing, as I've made a big effort to do that. However, if you want to compile a list of sources, that surely wouldn't be a bad thing. As you may already know, I'm planning on creating a "style and influences" section soon, and I could probably use some help with that later on. The only major thing I could really use your help on (and I know you're really busy right now) is with pictures.
Oh, and about my By the Way comments—is it my responsibility to cross out the qualms I listed that have been fixed, or is that yours? Grim-Gym 03:21, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted your recent edits to the Frusciante article. The last thing I want to do is seem like I'm practicing article ownership, but I felt that the information you omitted was necessary to the article. The reference placement at the beginning of the quoteblock is correct as well. I shouldn't apologize but I feel compelled to. I truly value all your work on this article thus far. No worries? Grim-Gym 05:35, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Cool. I'm going to stop being paranoid about offending people now; it goes against my true persona. Do you have a take on what needs to be done in order to get the Frusciante article to FA? The only thing I can really think of is the addition of more pictures and a "style and influences" section. I think the biography section is pretty tight right now—sans the "current projects" section, which should be sourced and possibly expanded. Grim-Gym 23:15, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I personally don't see anything in the article (minus the "current section") that needs sourcing. I talked to XHIX about sourcing the Mars Volta stuff; but that can easily be done through the liner notes and may not even be necessary. Do you have access to the liner notes of any of their albums?
So you have a '62 strat and a '62 jaguar? That's sweet. Are they original (if so, you must be rich) or replicas? Grim-Gym 23:25, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have a fairly new, Epiphone Les Paul that I've had for a about 6 months. It's probably the nicest guitar Epiphone makes. I bought it from a guy on ebay who hung it on his wall and never played it. So what did you pay for your guitars? I'm not in a band yet but I'm looking for one. Grim-Gym 23:39, 2 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have the Kataweb article that you referenced? Jensen removed it for being an "unclear" reference, but if I can verify it's validity and clarify the reference, we'll put it back up. Grim-Gym 21:01, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ross Noble

Thats fine. I have actually been a bit ill over the last four or five days, and haven't had much time to edit, only being able to check my messages and maybe discuss a few things. You probably did me a favour by reviewing the article for me, so thanks for that. Cheers, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk 00:02, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Grunge music

Hey there, I have a favor to ask. Some really good, highly active WikiProject Alternative music members like User:CloudNine and User:Ceoil are on Wikibreak on the moment, so I'm pretty much working on the grunge music FAR by myself. I'd appreciate any help I can get, and aside from nominating the article for FAR, you're pretty active and have done a lot of good work on Chili Peppers articles. What I'd like to ask from you is rather simple but rather tedious: to gather a collection of articles on the web that are good, reliable sources for grunge. This entails mainly searching through notable mainstream and music news sites: time.com, cnn.com, bbc.co.uk, rollingstone.com, billboard.com, msnbc.com, mtv.com, nme.com, and so on. I would want you to complie a list of these links and then you can make it available to me (on my talk page, a user subpage, or something else) to use as reference material. If you could do that I would be a great relief and I could devote more time to the books and print articles I have on hand. And I would be really grateful. WesleyDodds 09:16, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

On the Bleeding Through GA review

I agree that the lead needs work, but what are the NPOV problems? Why is it biased when I added both negative and positive reviews of albums, and I wrote that the latest album received lukewarm reviews etc. I deleted the opinions about any of their concerts, tours, or actions. Please give me some help. Gocsa 15:42, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help me improve the lead section of this article? What more info can I add? Thank you! Gocsa 09:49, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A Ghost Is Born

Thanks for reviewing the article. I have edited the article to suit your suggestions. Teemu08 20:07, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've figured it out

I apologise for the mood swings - and thanks for the kind words. I've reconciled the fact that I have to work with these people with myself; a small consolation is that I can probably avoid them if I'm careful. I had a small realisation this morning that occured as I was checking out Wikipedia's article on my hometown; I saw that it had no photos and my first thought was, "Oh I should pop out and take some!", which was quickly followed by "...or not". But somehow that made me feel guilty and I think that as long as I have something positive to contribute to the mainspace I am going to remain here. I don't really care for the wikipolitics, so I'm going to take your sage advice and keep well away from it (and this includes stopping myself from browsing ANI - what a cesspit). Oh, I just had a quick glance at the project page and I forsee that Blood Sugar Sex Magik is going to get a shiny star soon. I've missed so much! I feel incredibly behind. Kamryn · Talk 07:20, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My name and the purple didn't give it away? I am of the female persuasion :) I left a bunch of comments at Talk:Blood Sugar Sex Magik earlier; they are things I'd fix myself but I don't have the original sources available to me, so I'm not able to clarify things. After leaving those comments I carried on reading and saw a whole bunch of similar things I thought were a bit off, but I didn't want to make a list of those things too in case it seemed like overkill, heh. It's really good work for one day's job though - you must have much more willpower than I, I tend to log on, make a few edits, get bored, and wander off to do something else. Kamryn · Talk 13:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
LOL, so everyone thinks I'm a dude? I wasn't aware of that hehe, I'm from Madagascar originally (but have lived in the UK for a good 6 years now :). The photos are quite bright yes - I took them at like 7:30AM. I was a bit rushed as I was walking my dog at the time and she kept trying to drag me away, lol. Costello Music is indeed my current project, and I've been thinking about popping to the library sometime this week and get to work on Prague Spring. I'm not really in the mood to do a lot of editing at the moment, however. I'll have a look over BSSM and Frusciante and keep an eye on them, though I don't have much in the way of content to add. 16:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I think BSSM is ready for FAC now, to be honest. And also.. have you ever considered an RFA? You more than meet all the usual requirements to become an admin. Kamryn · Talk 18:48, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Really? That's odd, as far as I can see you'd pass easily. In fact you are the kind of person I would trust most as an admin.. how ironic that the people who would make the best admins are more interested in writing articles! It's both a blessing and a curse. Kamryn · Talk 06:15, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dragon Quest VI

You recently put the Dragon Quest VI on hold for good article, and i just had a few questions (I'm new at this whole good article stuff). You said the story stuff can be cut a little bit which is easy, but you suggested that the reception and production sections should be larger. I wish they were too, but seeing as how the game was only released in Japan over ten years ago, we've pretty much scrapped together any info we can find. I hope you can see the dilemma here.

Also, once the stuff that needs fixing is fixed, do I tell you or what? Thanks for your time. Evaunit666 03:30, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added a little bit to the development section and cut down the story section. For length of the story section, I looked at the Final Fantasy articles (the ones not tagged for having too long story sections) and I only kept information that helped understanding of the plot. You think it's ready? Evaunit666 02:42, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nope, not really. Would take a bit of work; we'd need to get all the album articles to at least GA, as well as the core band members pages. Also, right after I got the Pumpkins page to FA I toyed with overhauling Billy Corgan but quickly found I was more interested in writing about the band and its music than in Billy's personal life. If anything that interests me could be a featured topic with the right amount of work, it'd be Nirvana. I'll think about that one. WesleyDodds 01:46, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's alright, we're doing well so far. Whatever you can contribute is appreciated. WesleyDodds 10:24, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BSSM

Hiya. OK, I gave it a good read and I take back my comments about it being ready for FAC - I don't want to be rude or anything, but the prose is quite clumsy and in some places it reads like my early high school essays (which is not a good thing, lol). The 'writing and composition' section and everything after that could probably do with a good copyedit; i can do it myself if you like, or you could ask someone who's good at that kind of thing (i hear User:Tony1 is really good).

Here are some comments I wrote down before I realised that the list was going to get quite long:

  • I would take away the citations from the lead; they aren't necessary.
  • "The album's subject material incorporated various sexual innuendos and referenced drugs, death, lust, and exuberance."

would be better as

"The album's subject material incorporated various sexual innuendos and referenced drugs and death as well as themes of lust and exuberance."

as 'referenced lust and exuberance' sounds a bit weird. feel free to rephrase my suggestion.

  • All the comments I made about the background suggestion have been fixed and it reads really well now ;)
From 'Writing and composition'
  • "Blood Sugar's lyrical and musical content came at a much quicker pace than Mother's Milk had." - sounds a bit odd, i would add 'the creation of' or something to the beginning.
  • "Much of the lyrical content expressed throughout Blood Sugar Sex Magik involves various sexual references, innuendos and actions, as it was a powerful influence in Kiedis' mind, at the time" 'much of the lyrical content expressed' is awkward - in fact the entire sentence is. i think it would be better as some form of "Sexual references were a major theme within the lyrical content of the album, as it was on Kiedis' mind at the time".
  • "Songs such as "Suck My Kiss", "If You Have to Ask", "Sir Psycho Sexy", "Give It Away" and "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" were all based on various links to sex." 'various links to sex'? some examples would be helpful, the constant references to "various innuendos" "various links" etc are rather vague. the phrasing is awkward at best too.
  • "Kiedis also began writing about anguish, and the self destructive thoughts he would consistently experience when he had been addicted to heroin and speed.[23]" - the tense needs to be consistent, so that should be "he consistently experienced".
  • "He wanted Kiedis to write a song simply about girls, and cars." misplaced comma ;)

etc etc. There's a lot more of that kind of thing, I think. Of course you can feel free to disagree with me on any or all points and I'd be glad to hear your feedback :) Kamryn · Talk 21:56, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • No one could ever accuse you of not being prompt! I'm taking a break from singing along to Cartoon Heroes on repeat to go over it now; this is one of my favourite activities, so I hope you appreciate the sacrifice I'm making here. I'd make the edits myself, but I noticed that just now you did things differently than what I suggested, and it was in fact better. :) Kamryn · Talk 22:23, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I fixed some minor things myself.
  • "And while Kiedis lamented the idea, he created "The Greeting Song" based solely on girls, and cars." - Too informal, lacking encyclopedic tone.
  • "It turned out to be a disaster, as he hated every aspect of the lyrics." - And yet it appeared on the album, which seems contradictory. Was it contrary to Kiedis' wishes?
  • "One of Blood Sugar Sex Magik's most melodic songs, "Breaking the Girl", was written about Kiedis and his varying love life, fearing how he was simply a womanizer, following closely to his father's footsteps." - This is practically comma abuse! Really needs to be rephrased. For example: "One of Blood Sugar Sex Magik's most melodic songs, "Breaking the Girl", was written about Kiedis and his constantly changing relationships. He feared that he was following in his father's footsteps and becoming simply a womanizer."
  • The paragraph that begins "Kiedis felt that...". If the citation for the first three sentences is the same, you might as well put it at the end of the third sentence. Each individual sentence does not really require a citation and it makes it hard to read and interrupts the flow of the article.
  • "In the middle of "Breaking the Girl", the band members gathered scrap metal from junk yards to be used as a bridge of metallic percussion, in the middle of the song." Hmm, doesn't really fit with the rest of the paragraph. Also rather ambiguous - does it mean that they actually stopped in the middle of recording, or that they gathered it beforehand to be used in the middle of the song? If the latter, 'in the middle' doesn't need to be used twice.
  • "To promote the album in Europe, Kiedis and Frusciante agreed to go." - To Europe? Awkward.
  • "A figure that could get any girl, and do anything he pleased to them." Sentence fragment
  • Critical reception section is fine.
  • ""John had broken our unwritten rule of no spouses or girlfriends on the road."" - 'Kiedis said that..'
Done :) Back to singing. Kamryn · Talk 22:50, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you; I think that counts as appreciating my sacrifice! You're a pretty awesome Wikipedian yourself :) I wish I had the drive to push articles to FA by myself - I want more FA userboxes on my page so that I can be a complete asshole to people and get away with it. Oh well - drop me a note on my talk page when you nominate BSSM, p-lease. Kamryn · Talk 00:04, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not really relevant but: Whenever I hit the 'edit' button for this section, MediaWiki tells me this section does not exist. I know it exists goddamnit!
Anyway: Haha RHCP is high culture now? Love it ;) Thanks a lot! I can totally raise my asshole quota by at least 25% now :D But seriously, thanks really really muchly for being really supportive and making me like Wikipeda again after my tantrums :) Kamryn · Talk 00:58, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to but in, just thought I'd say I fixed the edit bug again. --PEJL 17:23, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and, RE: the song choice thing, I think that should be mentioned in the article to make things clear. I didn't know that heh, I actually know very little about the bands I like. I just listen to their music. I'm a pretty shitty fan. Kamryn · Talk 01:01, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Go for it. I'm sure things will crop up in the FAC but I'm pretty sure it'll pass :) Kamryn · Talk 08:48, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Mess? What? Where? Kamryn · Talk 17:28, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ohh, I see. *e-hugs* Never mind :) Kamryn · Talk 18:07, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know! It's up to you to decide if you're biased or not. I'm not too worried about it being promoted any time soon, I'm not really in the mood to do much editing anyway. Kamryn · Talk 18:56, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for doing the Bungle GA review so quickly (I had a feeling I’d get a Chilli Peppers or No Doubt fan reviewing the article, though me being a fan and a reviewer despising them will help to make it a neutral article). The comments provided have been helpful and I see now there is some work to do re toning down the style of the article. I bet there is probably many sources which state Bungle suck, so I’ll try to work some more into the article. Anyway thanks again, cheers - Mr Bungle | talk 01:50, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks!

Thanks for your support for my RFA! It passed and I'm looking forward to it --AW 17:49, 8 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Blood Sugar Sex Magik

I don't know if this is orthodox or not to mention it to you here, but much of Grim-Gym's review is bullcrap. I defended some of the more outrageous claims, but really, I have no clue what grammar/copyediting book he/she is taking her cues from.--Esprit15d 03:10, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do you feel I was deserving of the (subversive) attack I just endured from Esprit15d? Since you're the editor here I'll just offer this to you: if you feel his view has credence—which I concede, it does—I'll be more than happy to clarify my points in any way I can. If my points cannot be clarified or reconciled, then I will recant them. The last thing I want is for my review to be nullified by disparaging claims from an arrogant editor. Grim-Gym 06:56, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any negative feelings toward you; in fact, I have a lot of respect for what you're doing. I recognize that you're something of an innocent bystander in this case. My qualm with the Cristgau statement is this: You say that the "points regarding the Christgau one are dismissible as he is a well known critic and a two-star honorable mention is a highly regarded album grade". This is a very simple fix—and I'd do it myself but it'd defeat the purpose. You need to put the word "critic" before his name, and you need to state the importance of the two-star honorable mention rating just exactly as you did when you mentioned it to both me and esprit. "...a two-star honorable mention, one of his highest ratings". It might just be me, but I consider his idiosyncratic rating system worth clarifying. Thanks for understanding. Grim-Gym 16:37, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate it. I just want to say that you have never done anything to remotely upset me, so if you're feeling that I'm upset at you in any way—I'm not. I just wish Espirit would've nobly asked me for clarification, rather than going to you in an attempt to invalidate my review. I have no ill-will towards him either, because his faults are his own. Grim-Gym 16:54, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I've seen that—it's awesome. You've fixed the majority of my points with the article, so I'm just going to ahead and run through the article and fix whatever I was unable to aptly convey. Barring some unforeseen problem that I'd prefer you dealt with, I'll support this nomination soon. Thanks. Grim-Gym 17:06, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe you could look for neutral or negative statements within positive reviews--perhaps list a few other aspects of the album that were criticized in addition to the sexual content. I think this is pretty important, so keep searching. This is only a last resort, but if you really can't find anything, then I'll let it go. Grim-Gym 19:11, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep looking for content if haven't already exhausted your options. I'll check back in a few hours and if you still haven't found anything to suffice, then I'll endorse the article anyway. Grim-Gym 20:27, 11 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've fully endorsed the article. Excellent work. Grim-Gym 03:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Random Acts of Kindness Barnstar
I Grim-Gym, hereby award you this barnstar; for your seemingly effortless ability address people with kindness and dignity. You went the extra mile to dig deep and understand the essence of what I was trying to say; rather than condescendingly nullifying my opinion after I misspoke—which you easily could have done. I don't know you very well yet, but your actions have earned my respect. Grim-Gym 03:39, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They're not exactly quotes.

And they're probably better explained via email ;) Kamryn · Talk 13:00, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
