KPTM is a Fox affiliate licensed to Omaha, Nebraska, seen on channel 42 analog, channel 43 digital. KPTM was the third broadcasting property owned by Pappas Telecasting when it began broadcasting on March 13, 1986 (after flagship KMPH-TV in Visalia, California and WHNS in Greenville, South Carolina). Pappas also owns two other stations in the market, KXVO and KAZO-LP. KPTM's transmitter is located in Gretna, Nebraska.

KPTM today is a typical Fox affiliate carrying the entire programming lineup of the network. Only the 4Kids TV lineup is preempted and instead is aired on sister CW affiliate KXVO.

On September 5, 2006, its DT2 subcarrier began carrying My Network TV programming. My Network TV programming is also seen in Omaha on KKAZ-CA, analog channel 24, which rebroadcasts KPTM's DT2 subcarrier.

On August 11, 2007, KPTM moved their website to a new server and replaced it.

KPTM FOX 42 News At Nine

KPTM Fox 42 News at Nine is currently their only newscast, but there is suspicion that they may be trying to develop a morning show, again. The following links are off of KXVO, their sister station's website. KPTM currently doesn't have any job postings on their New website. 1 2 [hhtp://www.kptm.com/Global/story.asp?S=6881821&nav=menu606_8_1 3]

On August 31st, 2007, Taylor Wilson announced on the News At Nine that KPTM will move into a new set in a couple of weeks. He also said that they will add a 4pm Newscast, a first for KPTM. Their Newscast will compete with the WOWT Newscast, but will be an hour instead of WOWT's half-hour newscast. 4
