Goffs School is a comprehensive school and sixth form college located in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England with over 1,300 students. The school was awarded 'Language College' status in the mid to late 90's.
The school motto was "Sola Virtus Invicta", (roughly translates from Latin to "virtue alone is unconquerable"), however, it was recently changed to "Respect Confidence Achievement".
The school has played host to BBC presenter Jenny Scott who handed out awards at an awards evening"
Houses
There are six houses in Goffs School, into which all students are sorted. Each house is named after a famous and influential person from history. The six houses are Brontë, Churchill, Columbus, Curie, Mandela and Monet. This house structure was introduced in 2002. The former house structure consisted of four houses named after founding teachers of the school - Davies, Booker, Morgan and Trayhern.
