Revert of your edit to MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition
Hi, I just reverted your edit to MediaWiki:Gadgets-definition that removed the DejaVu Sans gadget. I don't use this gadget, but I do recall that although Safari is the only browser to currently support it, the support is based on a World Wide Web Consortium standard that other browsers will probably eventually integrate. - No no no, there is no need to add a button that is useless for 98% of people, and that the majority of the people who can use it will never use anyway. - Sorry, you got me wrong. Feel free to edit the gadgets definition, but only after consensus has been reached on Wikipedia_talk:Gadget if it is an even remotely-controversial change. Gadget changes
Hi Prodego, please could you comment on your recent deletions of gadget definitions [1] on Wikipedia_talk:Gadget#wikEd no longer available as a gadget? I would especially be interested in hearing why you made your changes without previous discussion and what evidence of "crashes way way too many browsers" is. - Ah, I made a mistake there, I removed the full WikiEd, rather then the just diff version (which was reported on WP:VPT to crash IE6, IE7, and Safari. You can go ahead and readd that one. Prodego talk
Black/green skin
Can you please add @media print { color: black; ) } or something so that when you print with this gadget that you do not get green text? See also report on VP/T --TheDJ (talk • contribs) 11:27, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

- What exactly do you have a problem with in my edit? My edit made two changes, one, it fixed a coding error you introduced in this edit, and two, it removed information that was uncited (in the case of the F117 info), and that had nothing to do with the B2, beyond a minor trivia like relationship (Pyotr Ufimtsev). I do not see how either of these changes constitutes vandalism. Please explain, Prodego talk 00:57, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Prodigo, your characterization of Ufimtsev's work as irrelevant to the B2's design os purely a result of your lack of familiarity with your subject. I suggest you read Ufimtsev's bio on wikipedia for starters. Ufimstev proved that a radar reflection's strength is dependent on the shape the beam hits, not its size. This was put to direct use in the F-117's development. The B2, in this sense, is a much more refined application of the concept, and he refinement comes about in part through greater use of computers to design the wings and edge shapes and, more importantly, control flight surfaces. The Russians knew all about stealth back in 1964, when Ufimtsev first wrote his paper. They couldn't put it to use, though, because they couldn't perform the calculations needed to get both wing and flight controls built. By 1977, when the Have Blue prototype, was born, we could get that done, but the Russians still could not.
The B-2 as a flying wing traces its origin back to Jack Northrop's flying wing; however, that's as far as it goes. The B-2 is truly a new aircraft and the way it is flown and how it stays in the air has very little to do with the Flying Wing of decades ago. They are very different animals.
I'll grant you that I should have offered additional references at my point of edit. But the link between aircraft stealth and Ufimtsev is already established in the wikipedia, and linking to Ufimtsev is sufficient.
I have not finished looking for added references. I will add them as I find them.

My RFB
Thank you for your comments in my RFB. Since it was only at 64%, it was a shoo-in to be unsuccessful, so I withdrew. I didn't want it to run until its scheduled close time because my intent in standing for RFB was to help the bureaucrats with their workload, not give them one more RfX to close. Through the course of my RFB, I received some very valuable feedback, some of it was contradictary, but other points were well agreed upon. I have ceased my admin coaching for now to give me time to revamp my method. I don't want to give up coaching completely, but I'm going to find a different angle from which to approach it. As for my RFA Standards, I am going to do some deep intraspection. I wrote those standards six months ago and I will slowly retool them. This will take some time for me to really dig down and express what I want in an admin candidate. If, after some serious time of deep thought, I don't find anything to change in them, I'll leave them the way they are. I'm not going to change them just because of some community disagreement as to what they should be. Will I stand for RFB again in the future? I don't know. Perhaps some time down the road, when my tenure as an administrator is greater than one year, if there is a pressing need for more active bureaucrats, maybe.
