Stalking

I was not "stalking" your edits. In case you were wondering, I was actually reading your talk page (curious as to how you interact with other people) and read For An Angel's comment to you. I noticed your afd comment, and decided to help with the article

Huh, your first sentence gets immediately contradicted by the second there, you realize, especially given the poor quality of the "help" (hint: WP:RS describes "non-trivial", which the slightest glance at the so-called New York Times review would have told you). Good luck with that cause-and-effect thing, pal, and your eagerness to assist one long-term, indefinitely blocked troller and two troublemakers in training is noted. Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas, as the saying goes.
Oh, and regarding your "joke", this may be informative, as well as this. --Calton | Talk 00:26, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bispham Green - I declined your speedy deletion request

Hi there. Just to let you know that I have declined your speedy deletion request on Bispham Green which you had tagged db-group. Because Bispham is a village, db-group does not apply, in fact no speedy notability criteria apply to geographical locations as they are considered inherently notable. kind regards, nancy (talk) 17:25, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AIV reports

The problem was that you spelled "vandal" as "valdal". No biggie, though. I've gone and blocked both users indefinitely; good job reporting them! Keep up the good work, Master of Puppets Call me MoP! 06:17, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, yeah. I noticed but you beat me to it! --pbroks13talk? 06:52, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Number redirects

I don't really think it necessary to create number redirects such as 763 (number), although I cannot think of a deletion criterion which would allow them to be deleted, except that others near them were previously created by a then-banned user. I would ask you to consider whether it helps the encyclopedia....

Arthur Rubin (talk) 13:28, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I can understand that. I actually was thinking that if someone was to look up 763 in the search box that it would redirect to 700 (number), only to realize that I am a complete idiot. I guess I overlooked the "(number)" part. I was going to do all the numbers in the 700's that did not have a page, but I stopped after realizing what exactly I was doing. --pbroks13talk? 21:00, 18 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you wish them gone (the ones you just created, anyway), you can add db-author to them, and they should be deleted.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Arthur Rubin (talkcontribs)

New Section

You do realize that if I wanted to continue making the Anberlin article factual all I would have to do is create an account, right? An account is no longer considered new after a few constructive edits. Also I could make a 100 accounts today, all with completely different IP's and in a short time they would no longer be new accounts. So don't think you all won, I just got bored with it. Removing disputed content is not "vandalism." Just because three or four of you agree on something doesn't mean that it should be there. You guys act as if you own the article, and no matter what someone does to the article you can go revert crazy and say "goes against our consensus" vandalism, did not discuss on talk page" "etc." I will admit I am new to wikipedia, but will you show me where it says three or four ppl can have a consensus and control the article and be the only ones that can change it. If that is policy I will accept it. I have been wrong before. I thought something lik a genre had to be backed up by third-party unbiased sources, but hey what do I know? 123.242.230.161 (talk) 16:50, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In regards to your multiple account comment, check out WP:SOCK. In regards to your IP address comment, WP:RANGE will let you know that WP is able to block a range of IP addresses. The reason we revert your edits is because we have made a consensus. But realize that you are able to discuss it on the talk page; we are open to opinions. We will gladly discuss your reasoning behind your edits and are willing to change, but you should not argue through your edit summary. Thanks --pbroks13talk? 21:52, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What good would blocking an IP range do? I can make my IP adress what I want, and when I want with all completely new numbers. By the way I read up on policy regarding consensus. It clearly says that it does not affect other users, only the ones involved in the dispute. I am completely new to the situation and did not agree to the consensus. Furthermore, removing false content is not vandalism, nor unconstructive. Making an article be more based on fact than fiction is not "unconstructive." 64.15.157.52 (talk) 22:30, 19 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Then be a nuisance to everyone, have fun. By the way, Wikipedia:DR#discuss clearly states, "Discuss the issue on a talk page. Never carry on a dispute on the article page itself." You should discuss a dispute on the talk page before making changes. That is what our discussion was for. Again, you are welcome to bring up the dispute again on the talk page. --pbroks13talk? 00:43, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Math notation

Hello. Please note my recent edits to Bernstein's constant.

 • "Displayed" TeX should be indented by a preceeding colon.
 • In non-TeX notation, variables should be italicized but punctuation (including the parentheses) and digits should not. And spaces should preceed and follow "+", "=", etc. This makes it match TeX style.
 • "−5", not "-5".

Orphaned non-free media (Image:KMHS.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:KMHS.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Demo 2002 EP

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Demo 2002 EP, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Thanks for uploading Image:Connect sets ep.JPG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Thank you for uploading images/media to Wikipedia! There is, however, another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please consider creating an account and uploading your media there instead. That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view images you have previously uploaded by going to your user contributions on the left and choosing the 'image' namespace from the drop down box). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading!--OsamaK 06:48, 5 June 2008 (UTC) [reply]

Arbelos articles

Hi Pbroks13,

thanks for your Arbelos-related articles and illustrations. I just now wanted to ask you to create an illustration of the Woo circles - when I surprizingly notice it's just done. Thanks for that. I'll translate the articles into the German wikipedia using your illustrations (I'm German).

Cheers, --Mosmas (talk) 16:04, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

PS: I am Thomas Schoch, see my German user page :-) --Mosmas (talk) 16:06, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I was actually meaning to message you, wasn't too sure which account to message you at. Anyways, I was going to ask you if the images accurately portrayed the Schoch line and the Woo circles; please let me know if all of the information is accurate on the articles themselves! Also, let me know if you would rather I talk on your German page (although I don't know German) or on the Wikipedia Commons. --pbroks13talk? 03:43, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We can talk on any of my talk pages (English, German or commons), since I have them all on my watchlist. I'm very busy at present, hence it will take a while until I find the time to check your articles and illustrations, and prepare the German articles. At first view the illustrations seem to be correct. Cheers, --Mosmas (talk) 10:51, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Are you really only 18 years old? --Mosmas (talk) 10:53, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Let's just keep the discussion here, so it is easier to follow. Anything else that is brought up, I'll just message you on your English Wikipedia page (I only ever go on the Commons to upload images); I never go on the German WP, so I wouldn't ever notice a comment or reply.
That's fine, just let me know if you see anything wrong with them. I usually will be able to get to it within a couple of days. And yes, I'm 18 years old, just graduated high school about a month ago. --pbroks13talk? 02:13, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another Circuit

Pbroks13, it's Fclass again. Could you also do a map for the Durban street circuit? This is the last time I'll ask you to do something like this. Fclass (talk) 16:11, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, its absolutely no problem! Ask me whenever you need something. Heres the map, hope it works! Image:Durban street circuit.svg --pbroks13talk? 17:54, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, pal. Fclass (talk) 19:14, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Aw crud, whoops

I didn't mean to tag you with that template. The discussion page for the moved page specified it as a test page by the author (who then contradicted himself in the page itself). I'm not quite sure HOW flagging it as one slapped you with the warning, but regardless of what part of the mucky-muck caused that, I meant to get the info across to him/her, not you. - Vianello (talk) 08:57, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

 • No problem! I had a hunch that was why it happened, but I wasn't 100% sure if it worked that way. Either way, no harm done, and sorry about the misunderstanding! - Vianello (talk) 09:05, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

However, I have been the CEO for a long time, and we do have a website, but all the official records that I am getting my information from are from records I kept as a founding administrator, and that have never been published. How will this affect our article?

Jthensley (talk) 09:04, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Another request

Well, since you said I can ask you whenever I need something and it's no problem, could you do a circuit map for Grand Prix of Toronto (a street circuit in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and Grand Prix of Cleveland (a circuit at Burke Lakefront Airport)? Once again, thank you. Fclass (talk) 16:32, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Here is the Steelback Grand Prix of Toronto: Image:Steelback Grand Prix of Toronto.svg. As for the Grand Prix of Cleveland, I can't seem to find the track map. I'm pretty sure one used to be here, but it looks like they took it off. Any chance you know where to find one? --pbroks13talk? 18:45, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Done: Image:VIRaceway lowres.svg. Hope it works for you, let me know. --pbroks13talk? 03:29, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Can you make the circuit map have a higher resolution please? 24.185.49.151 (talk) 14:40, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, there is no reason for a higher resolution. That's whats great about SVG images. With the small image, no matter how much you enlarge it, it will never look bad. Look at the images, even though the original is 200px, if you enlarge it to 800px, it still looks good. --pbroks13talk? 14:11, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In this edit you replaced "functions" by "functions", which is not an improvement. Was this change suggested by peerreviewer?  --Lambiam 10:28, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, the change was made by peerreview. I do not see how you think that to not be an improvement. I could understand if the edit was something like functions as opposed to functions or functions. The first alternative is harder to read in Wiki form and harder to type, and the second alternative may not link to the article that is supposed to.
However, functions and functions is a different situation. There is no reason to have the "s" outside of the brackets. In doing so, the link becomes harder to read in Wiki form, but reads as functions on the article's page either way.
I can't find any guideline that states why it should be like this. The peereview is supposed to change everything per WP:MOS. I found MOS:LINK#Form, but it does not have an example such as the one above. Thanks. --pbroks13talk? 16:28, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Versor thanks

Hello pbroks13: Thank you very much for the spherical_triangle.svg. I have posted it on versor since your work completes my (faulty) request. I have also visited the KMHS article and your gallery so I have a very favorable impression of your accomplishments. Several graphics in your gallery stir me to catch up on some wiki reading.

As for the versor article, as per our discussion in the graphics workshop, the original image uses a particular type of spherical triangle (3 right angles) where separate display of poles of arcs is unnecessary. I note that you also worked on a graphic showing a square on a sphere. Could you draw a obtuse spherical triangle that might illustrate the versor even more gracefully?Rgdboer (talk) 22:34, 15 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That would be fine. I am assuming that you'd want the poles to be included? --pbroks13talk? 05:04, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It says here, "This track map shows the 2.1 mile course (1977-1985)." Is this the map I should be making? --pbroks13talk? 07:57, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All right, you can find the current track map at the Cicuit Trois-Rivières website on the circuit's article page. Put the mouse cursor on "Races," then click on "Track." You can also Google "racingcircuits" (make sure it's one word), then click on the first result, "Motor Racing Circuit Database." Click on "Canada" and scroll down to see "Trois-Rivières." It has three versions: the current version, the 1977-1985 version (which you have), and a 1967 version. 209.2.60.98 (talk) 18:54, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so far for your good work. Actually the horizon is still not quite 100% level, if you wanted to go that little bit further. The color is much improved. Thanks again, Invertzoo (talk) 16:33, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
