Ring Rulers is a US-based Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization based in Shreveport, LA. It is the amateur division of the Cage Kings. Both are owned by Will Broyles with Butch Bellah as GM.

History

RING RULERS has become the nation's largest promoter for amateur mixed martial arts fights. Beginning in Texas, they quickly spread to Louisiana and Arkansas. Now, the company boasts a span of over six different states and has produced dozens of amateur champion fighters. More recently, RING RULERS talent has been spotted on larger televised professional fights such as the Ultimate Fighting Championships, World Extreme Cagefighting and Strikeforce. Ring Rulers is about to have its 50th show. [1]


Rules

Ring Rulers fights are contested under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts, But have adapted amateur rules that are more stringent for fighter safety including "no elbows" and the use of a larger 6-7oz hybrid mma/boxing glove.

Rounds

In regular matches, bouts have three rounds, and each round is three minutes in duration. Title matches have three rounds, where each round is three minutes long.

Champions

The Ring Rulers have champions for each state they run shows in (LA,MS,TX,ARK) as well as an Ark-La-Tex champion who is considered the "overall" Champion. Due to the growth of the sport in the area, there are quite a few vacant titles as the champions have gone pro.
