Pictures and video of Bret
Found some great Photosand Video of Bret's Chicago concert (3.17.10) from his Roses & Thorns tour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 170.20.11.116 (talk) 20:10, 22 March 2010 (UTC)
Tony Awards incident
I forgot what the official term for this was (when you consider less significant, but more recent things more important in an article...), but I feel like, in the grand scheme of things, the incident at the Tony's was not in any way a defining moment of Bret Michaels' career that warrants it being in the introductory portion of this article... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.175.79.104 (talk) 17:18, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- It's called undue weight. Plastikspork (talk) 08:36, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
It's what happens when you overly play up to the crowd (after a lipsynched) performance, and you miss your predetermined cue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.249.163.130 (talk) 22:13, 17 April 2010 (UTC)
Bias, advertising etc
I don't want to complain, but I am sick of Wikipedia being used as a marketing vehicle for record companies. I'm not going to remove the tour dates from this article, but maybe someone should. And I say this as a fan of Poison. Who knows what people who hate the band would think.
Fair use rationale for Image:Poisondalbum2007.jpg
Image:Poisondalbum2007.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 23:38, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Photos
Can any validate the Brady Quinn/Bret Michaels photograph? To me it looks like Bret Michaels was photoshopped into that picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TxnGirl31 (talk • contribs) 14:00, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Pittsburgh musician?
Why is he listed in this category? Mechanicsburg and Harrisburg are nowhere near Pittsburgh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.111.16.180 (talk) 15:26, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Transvestite?
When a full grown man wheres mascara and fashions his hair as a woman, shouldn't He have a section on transvestitism? This page is notoriously patrolled by the wiki-gestapo so I hope my legitimate question gets a chance to be seen AND answered. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.246.235.134 (talk) 13:41, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
- If you can find some legitimate sources that discuss his transvestitism, go for it. --Jeffery (talk) 07:21, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
Showbiz make-up use is not the same as make-up used for transvestitism. Bret does not wear make-up shopping for milk & eggs at Safeway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.107.154.82 (talk) 23:21, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
Genre dispute
Which reliable sources place Brett Michaels under the genre of Heavy Metal?--Jeffery (talk) 07:24, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Googling "Bret Michaels Heavy Metal" turns up over 100,000 hits. Like it or not, glam metal is metal.Holzman-tweed (talk) 19:29, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Baldness
Has he ever come out of the closet about his baldness? I mean, you never see him without a hat, bandana, etc... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.115.119.79 (talk) 23:11, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Pictures and videos of Bret Michaels
I saw Bret Michaels in concert on St. Patty's Day in Chicago and it was AMAZING!!! Nothing like a few green beers and great music. Found some links that have great pics and videos from the concert and wanted to share! Thought it would add more to Bret's Wikipedia page.

Unreliable sources
Concerning the citation from TMZ.com stating that Michaels is "stabilized": I thought we weren't allowed to use TMZ.com as a reference, because was deemed an [unreliable source?] "...in particular to WP:BLP". I saw this issue come up in another article recently, but I don't know what decision was made. — VoxLuna ☾ orbitland 18:17, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, it doesn't seem like the best choice. Are there new and better references for this? Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 18:43, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
Edit request from 174.101.28.39, 26 April 2010
Please Remove: "In August 2009, Michaels stated in a interview with VH1 that he and winner Taya Parker were no longer together."
This is false information. Bret Michaels has not stated that in any interview ever. I have seen Bret and Taya together several times. They were just together at one of his final concert appearances in Ardmore OK, in front of thousands of fans.
There is no source where Bret Michaels states he is no longer with Taya Parker. It doesn't exist.
- Please Remove* OR KINDLY GIVE THE SOURCE WITH LINK
174.101.28.39 (talk) 16:54, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
I have removed the sentence as per WP:CITE. Chevymontecarlo. 17:37, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
- This seems to indicate they are no longer together, but I'm not sure if it is a reliable: http://www.rightcelebrity.com/?p=8544 In any event, better sourcing is needed. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 02:26, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Death
There are a TON of rumors going on over the internet that claims he died. One claims that TMZ has reported he has passed away this afternoon. Can anyone else find, and verify if this fact is indeed true, and if it is, change his page?
