Spelbound

Spelbound are a gymnastic troupe from the United Kingdom that won the forth series of Britain's Got Talent on 5 June 2010.[1][2]The prize was £100,000 and the opportunity to appear at the 2010 Royal Variety Performance. They will also perform in the Britain's Got Talent Live tour.[3]

The group are members of Spelthorne Gymnastics Club[4] based in Ashford, Surrey. The reason that there is only one letter l in the troupe's name is because it refers to "Spelthorne" rather than "spell".

The group is made up of 7 boys and 6 girls with ages ranging from 12 year old Amy, to 24 year old Alex.[5] The full list of performers is Adam B, Adam M, Alex, Jonathan, Nick, Katie, Doug, Ed, Lauren, Leighanne, Hollianne, Abi and Amy. Between them, they have won numerous medals in their sport, acrobatic gymnastics, which is an internationally recognized type of gymnastics. Acrobatic gymnastics at the highest levels has three age categories, 11-16, Junior (12-19) and Senior and all the team currently hold, or have held British National titles in their individual groupings with some of them winning European and World medals.

They have competed for their club and for Great Britain all over Europe with 6 of them competing for GB in Taiwan at the last World Games which is an Olympic style event for non-Olympic events.[6][7] All three age levels have 5 categories: Women’s Pairs, Men’s Pairs, Women’s Groups, Men’s Groups and Mixed Pairs.

Their coach is called Nick Griffin.
