The discography of American singer Kelly Clarkson consists of five studio albums, three extended plays, two video releases, twenty-one singles, and twenty-two music videos.
In 2002, Clarkson signed a US$1 million, two-album recording deal with RCA Records[1] and began recording her debut album Thankful, which was released in 2003. The album debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart and was certified double-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), shipping more than two million copies in the United States. In 2004, Clarkson released her sophomore album, Breakaway. The album became her most successful studio album to date, being certified six-times-platinum by the RIAA, denoting shipments of six million copies in the United States and twelve million worldwide.[2] In 2005, Clarkson's recording deal was extended to six albums. In 2007, Clarkson released her third studio album, My December. The album stirred an internal conflict with RCA which was quickly resolved within that year.[3][4] Despite being certified platinum by the RIAA, the album failed to match the sales of its predecessor by suffering poor publicity for its uncommercial nature and thus became her poorest-selling album to date. In 2009, Clarkson released her fourth studio album, All I Ever Wanted. The album's commercial performance showed an improvement over My December, debuting at the top of the Billboard 200. However, it remains uncertified by the RIAA. In October 2011, Clarkson released her fifth studio album, Stronger.
Throughout the course of her career, Clarkson has landed ten top-ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States. Three of these, "A Moment Like This" (2002), "My Life Would Suck Without You" (2009), and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" (2012) topped the chart, with the former two achieving the biggest jump to number one.[5]
All studio albums thus far have been released on RCA Records and 19 Recordings, in North America, and Sony Music Entertainment internationally (RCA parent company), All singles were released under RCA Records in North America and Sony Music worldwide except "Breakaway" (originally released on Walt Disney Records), the duet version of "Because of You" (released on MCA Nashville Records), "Go" released by Sony Music and Ford Motor Company,[6] and "Don't You Wanna Stay" (originally released on Broken Bow Records).

- Notes
- ^ An alternate video for "Miss Independent" was shot in 2004 for UK music program T4, showing Clarkson singing the song on a rooftop. It was also used on morning television talk shows when Clarkson appeared on the programs.
- ^ An alternate video for "Breakaway" was released worldwide in 2004 which was essentially the same, minus the scenes from The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, the film for which the song was originally recorded. The movie scenes were replaced by longer shots of Clarkson in scenes already existing within the video. Due to the song being released as the last single from "Breakaway" in the UK, a live performance of the song was used as the video instead, encompassing footage from Kelly's recent tour date at the Hammersmith Apollo.
- ^ The video for "Go" was used only for Ford Motor Company ads and during Clarkson's Addicted Tour, playing on the screens while Clarkson sang the song live. It was made available for download, along with the song in audio version, on Ford's AddictedToKelly.com website.
- ^ The video for "One Minute" was shot live at a concert, and was released only in Australia.
