Independent Olympic Athlete is scheduled to compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom. There will be on athlete from the the newly formed state of South Sudan.

South Sudan has not formed a National Olympic Committee. This means that athletes from South Sudan are athletes with no NOC. One athlete Guor Marial has qualified for the men's marathon and will compete as an independent Olympian.[1][2]
