Current photo

Shouldn't the main photo be a candid photo rather than the current one from a Time magazine photoshoot? Just curious! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.102.100.67 (talk) 08:19, 25 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Influences

Beyoncé about Michael Jackson:

"When I was just starting out, my first producer used to make me listen to Michael Jackson’s live performance of “Who’s Loving You.” He would have me watch that for hours back to back to back. What he wanted me to learn was his soul. You could hear his soul. And he was this little kid who hadn’t experienced love but he was a vessel. For whatever reason he could evoke more emotion than an adult. It was so raw and so pure. It was these little things that he did that were just swag. It’s something that’s God given. Michael taught me that sometimes you have to forget technique, forget what you have on. If you feel silly, you have to go from the gut just let it go. Michael Jackson changed me, and helped me to become the artist I am - thank you Michael."

Legacy

Can this be included in her Legacy? A Filipino singer, Sarah Geronimo was often referred as "The Filipino Beyonce" and was inspired by Knowles on her singing-while-dancing skill on-stage. Source: http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/entertainment/06/19/12/sarah-g-filipino-beyonce

If its a reliable source then yes. Oz talk 21:10, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I dont know how to put this on the legacy or where to place it so i just want somebody to do it. This is what Sarah Geronimo says about Beyonce, "Lahat naman tayo idol natin si Beyonce. Ma-achieve lang natin ang kahit 10 percent ng galing niya, okay na ako (All of us admire Beyonce. Achieving even just 10% of her skill, i am already contented on it). She has been tagged as the Filipino counterpart of Beyonce due to her sing and dance production numbers, according to this article. --> http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/entertainment/06/19/12/sarah-g-filipino-beyonce ABS-CBN is one of two famous Philippines' broadcasting company.

The World Humanitarian Day music video for Beyoncé’s song “I Was Here” will be filmed in the UN General Assembly Hall in New York in front of a live audience. It will be released globally on 19 August. Beyoncé and songwriter Diane Warren are donating the video to the campaign. The campaign website, which is launched today, provides everyone with an opportunity to unite and share his or her individual acts of good. On 19 August, the campaign aims to reach 1 billion people in a day with a single message.

“We all see the headlines and we think what can I really do to help?”, said Beyoncé. “World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference. This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.”

On the eve of her live performance for her video in honor of World Humanitarian Day, Beyoncé meets Secretary General Ban Ki moon at the UN General Assembly Hall. http://www.beyonce.com/news/we-are-here http://www.beyonce.com/news/i-was-here http://act.mtv.com/posts/beyonce-i-was-here-behind-the-scenes-world-humanitarian-day-united-nations/?tw_p=twt — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.93.166.177 (talk) 14:12, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"On July 27, 2012 it was revealed that Knowles would be releasing a music video for "I Was Here" as part of a global launch of World Humanitarian Day, held by the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).[308] The video, which was directed by Kenzo Digital and Sophie Muller was filmed in front of a live audience at the United Nations General Assembly in New York on August 10.[309][310] It premiered on August 18.[310] The campaign aims to reach 1 billion people with a single message when it launches." http://www.beyonce.com/news/drop-your-pin The premierer on August 18, for philanthropy it doesn't seem important here...

2012: Motherhood and upcoming projects - NEW ALBUM

Beyonce starts work on new album

BEYONCE has been holed up in a studio in New York working on her next album with Kanye West and hubby Jay-Z’s producer Hit-Boy. And the singer is taking no chances with her new material being leaked. A source said: “She’s spent thousands hiring out the whole studios. She’s got security on the doors to ensure no one hears a whisper. “She’s being strict with proceedings too, putting in 14-hour days declaring nobody leaves until it’s perfect.”
