This is a list of the main career statistics of professional tennis player Rafael Nadal.

Historic achievements

Rafael Nadal holding the 2010 Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships trophy.

Nadal captured four straight French Open singles titles from 2005 to 2008, joining Björn Borg in 2008 as the only other man to have won four consecutive singles titles there; Nadal's 2012 French Open tied him with Chris Evert with seven French Open titles. In 2008, Nadal became the second Spanish man to win Wimbledon. Nadal is only the third male player in the open era to have won the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year, and the first since Borg in 1980. In 2009, Nadal became the first Spaniard to win the Australian Open, and the first player to simultaneously hold Grand Slams on clay, grass and hardcourt.[1] He is also the first, and only player to date, to win three consecutive Grand Slam Tournaments on three different surfaces (clay, grass and hardcourt) in the same year (2010).[2] Nadal has won a record 21 ATP Masters titles (tied with Roger Federer). By winning the 2010 US Open, Nadal completed a men's singles Career Grand Slam. He is the 7th male player in history to achieve this. In addition, Nadal has accomplished the Career Golden Slam and is the 2nd male player in history to attain this. Nadal has won ATP tournaments in 19 different countries.

Nadal has been especially successful on clay courts. He has a 36–4 record in clay court tournament finals and a 67–1 record in best-of-five-set matches on clay.[3] He won four consecutive French Open titles from 2005–2008 and has won at least one of the three clay court Masters Series tournaments every year since 2005. He also owns the longest single-surface winning streak in the open era, having won 81 consecutive matches on clay from April 2005 to May 2007.[4] As a result, most tennis critics and top players already regard him as the greatest clay court player of all time.[5][6][7]

ITF Davis Cup

Nadal plays Andy Roddick at the Las Ventas bullring in Madrid, Spain during the 2008 Davis Cup semifinals. A clay court was specially constructed within the arena for the event.[8]

Nadal played with La Armada in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, and 2011 winning the trophy in 2004 and consecutively in 2008 and 2009, as well as in 2011 and fighting to remain in the World Group in 2005 and 2006. He was not able to play the final of the 2008 Davis Cup due to an injury of his left knee but he later received a replica of the cup given to the members of the Spanish team which played in Argentina, being David Ferrer, Marcel Granollers, Feliciano López and Fernando Verdasco.
