'Splaining to do,Regarding this. Not only was the request improperly formed, there was zero discussion. This bot has since been indef blocked per an ANI thread, until the operator fixes it. I suggest you comment there.— Dædαlus Contribs 03:55, 8 September 2010 (UTC) Userbox requestCould you make a Twinkle userbox that states that someone uses the random article button to find non-notable articles? -Vaarsivius (Talk to me.) 17:49, 26 October 2010 (UTC) Happy Birthday
Possible task for MetsBotHi, I am currently looking for a bot which is able to replace any occurances of {{Fb r2 header}} (which is a redirect) with {{Fb r header}} on this set of 794 articles. An example edit would look like this, this or this. Would MetsBot be capable of fulfilling this request? Thank you in advance, Soccer-holicI hear voices in my head... 19:37, 12 January 2011 (UTC) UBXWhat's wrong with UBX??? It ruins my page!!! --Lovescream (talk) 03:43, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
hershey's kisses pagewhen you updated the hershey kisses page, you did a copy & replace and editted URLs which lead to dead links. Please be mindful when correcting capitalization. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tardisrepair (talk • contribs) 14:04, 4 September 2011 (UTC) File:Mets501TalkHeader.png listed for deletionA file that you uploaded or altered, File:Mets501TalkHeader.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. As a member of BAG and the bot community, I would very much like to interview you for the project at a time and in a method that is most convenient for you (Gchat, another IM client, Skype, email, telephone, etc.). I am completely flexible and can work with your schedule. The interview will take approximately 30-45 minutes. My dissertation project has been approved both by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the University of Oregon, and by the Research Committee at the Wikimedia Foundation. You can find more information on the project on my meta page. Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you to set up a time to chat. Thank you very much. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the communityHERE, where it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you. Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you. Sincerely, Jonathan Obar --Jaobar (talk) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chlopeck (talk • contribs) 04:07, 20 February 2012 (UTC) Invitation to events: bot, template, and Gadget makers wantedI thought you might want to know about some upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, extending functionality with JavaScript, the future of ResourceLoader and Gadgets, the new Lua templating system, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing. Check out the the Berlin hackathon in June, the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC, and our other events. You can register now for the Berlin event and if you need financial help or visa help, just mention that in the registration form. Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. If you delete a page, you should have to give an explaination telling people who are now looking for the page WHY you deleted it. It is VERY rude not to! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.232.67 (talk) 05:49, 29 June 2012 (UTC) Village pump discussion re: userboxesHi Mets501, I started a discussion at the Village Pump (misc) here that you may be interested in about the userbox creation script.
