Rollback

(add requestview requests)

Sorry, please be aware that unregistered users cannot be granted permissions due to technical restrictions. Please create an account in order to request user account permissions.

Administrator notation templates

This template is used to answer requests for permissions, especially the rollback user right.

::{{subst:RFPR|option}} ~~~~

The second (unnamed) parameter is optional. It can be omitted or used to specify the admin when marking a request as already done or the number of edits when declining due to inexperience.
Result Code Normalized code
 Done ::{{subst:RFPR|d}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|done}} ~~~~
 Already done by {{admin|X}} ::{{subst:RFPR|ad|X}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|alreadydone|X}} ~~~~
 Revoked ::{{subst:RFPR|r}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|revoked}} ~~~~
 Not done ::{{subst:RFPR|nd}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|notdone}} ~~~~
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. With only {{{X}}} edits to the mainspace, I don't think you have sufficient editing experience yet. Take a moment to check out what counter-vandalism is at WP:CVU, and if you decide you'd like to get involved, you can enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn more. ::{{subst:RFPR|exp|X}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|moreedits|X}} ~~~~
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. I see you just also applied for Pending Changes Reviewer. Let's see how you get on with that first and then we'll take another look again when you've made a few more edits. ::{{subst:RFPR|rvw}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|alsorequestedreviewer}} ~~~~
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. This is not what Rollback is for. Take a moment to read Wikipedia:Rollback and if that's what you would like to do, you can then check out the Counter Vandalism Unit to learn more. ::{{subst:RFPR|nrb}} ~~~~ ::{{subst:RFPR|notrollback}} ~~~~

I have been dealing with a vandal who is not only harassing me, but has violated numerous Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I put in a complaint at ANI and got a lot of help from admin User:Diannaa. My complaint can be found here, so you can better understand the situation. My separate disucssion with Diannaa (on her talk page) can also be found here. Thanks. Most of my work on WP is looking for vandalism on recent changes, and access to this tool would make it easier. Nick Levine (talk) 09:32, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have found several instances where there were subsequents edits made which were violation of Wikipedia guidelines, this permission will be helpful for me in a good way for reverting the vandal edits to the appropriate revision Gaurav Pruthitalk 12:31, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've been in many situations where there was more than one edit by the same user that needs to be reverted, but must be done manually due to the editing conflict. It would really help me out a lot when I am reverting vandalism if I could have this helpful tool to use. I like to patrol recent changes sometimes and this would help me even more to make this a clean Wikipedia for the all of the viewers. Leoesb1032 (talk) 23:17, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 Not done. Please see the notice at the top of this page. With only 160 edits to mainspace, I don't think you have sufficient editing experience yet. Take a moment to check out what counter-vandalism is at WP:CVU and when you have made 200 or so edits you may wish to enroll at the Counter Vandalism Academy to learn more. only (talk) 23:29, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I am requesting the roll back right because I want to be able to revert vandalism with a single click of a mouse. I have also reverted vandalism many times on articles with fewer that 30 watchers. I currently use twinkle to assist with the removal of vandalism from stub and start class articles. Having the rollback rights will help me revert vandalism in a timely fashion. versace1608 (talk) 14:30, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am constantly fighting against Vandalism which is very frustrating. This would really help me on my quest of stopping all vandalism on Wikipedia theworldgymnast1 (talk) 16:27, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
 Not done Hi Theworldgymnast1, unfortunately, I don't see much in the way of anti-vandalism work in your contributions. To obtain the rollback tool, I recommend that you gain experience dealing with vandalism by using the undo feature and then re-apply in a few weeks or so. Best. Nothing that this is the your second denied request for additional permissions in less than a month. Comments like this suggest you have a lot to learn about Wikipedia policy. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:54, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I've been on Wikipedia for 5 years and I think it would also help me revert vandalism more easily. prism 20:22, 6 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
