Wikipedia:WikiProject Azerbaijan
Introduction
Welcome to WikiProject Azeri, a WikProject set up to better organize, cooperate and present information in all articles related to Azerbaijan and Azeris. We hope that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians to improve all Azeri-related articles in order to make Wikipedia an primary resource for Azeri-related information for all who visit.
This WikiProject was formed by Azerbaijani Wikipedians on 18 March 2006 to improve coverage of Azerbaijan related topics and coordinate efforts of interested users for creation and improvement of articles on Azerbaijan and it's people.

Noticeboard
- The article Israfil Mamedov, created by Brandmeister, has been featured in the Did you know... section on the Main Page.
- My dear Azerbaijani colleagues, as you might be aware there are thousands of images on wikipedia published in the USSR and because of an action of one person now their future status is under question. Please read this RfC and help to endorse it. --Kuban Cossack 12:59, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have added pages on the Baku International Jazz Festival, Parigala, Zulfugar, Yanardagh, Aygun Kasimova and I have added to sections on Mud Volcano and Qobustan (Gobustan). I'd like to add Azeri celebrities, such as Roya, and any other pop singer out there, because much of what appears on the site concerning Azerbaijan seems somewhat formal (old time classical music and poetry) or grim (past wars and other disputes). I think the world deserves to know that the country is a forward-looking and modern place with much current cultural activity going on, but I have been entirely unable to find material to flesh these subjects out. If anybody can help with this I'd be willing to collaborate as well.
