Titles
Thriller is the official name for Car Crash Hearts and The Take Over The Breaks over has also been confirmed along with Arms Race, Carpal Tunnel, Thriller and Basically the whole album is confirmed already and all the titles are final and the title of Satisfaction I believe has been changed to another title. So basically the track listing that was up yesterday was the correct tracklisting.
Where are all these song titles coming from? As far as I know, only Arms Race, Carpal Tunnel, and Its Hard... have been confirmed (125.236.142.80 01:38, 28 December 2006 (UTC))
- You can check out Absolutepunk.net for the tracklisting. --DJREJECTED 02:45, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
The current track listing is wrong. That is the old track listing.PrestonxSmith 22:25, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Correct Tracklisting (cause of the edit war)
The proper tracklisting [1] should read as follows:
- "Thriller" - 3:29
- "'The Take Over, The Breaks Over'" - 3:33
- "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" - 3:32
- "I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You)" - 3:31
- "Hum Hallelujah" - 3:50
- "Golden" - 2:32
- "Thnks fr th Mmrs" - 3:23
- "Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?" - 2:52

Bonus tracks

One of the bonus tracks called "True Blue" has been replaced with G.I.N.A.S.F.S. on all sites except for Amazon UK.[2]
Japan Bonus DVD traklisting
- "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" (Music video)
- "Sugar, We're Goin Down" (Music video)

Confirmed at [3][4][5] Someone should fix it, because the information on the page is currently false. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Russ is the sex (talk • contribs) 22:31, 8 January 2007 (UTC).
I am changing the official tracklisting to reflect recent updates. I do not find it funny that someone changed my words. This tracklisting changes so much and I bet everything has a different name by the time February 6th rolls around. --Russ is the sex 03:55, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
User:189.173.36.202 made a false edit to my entry. I have reverted the edits. --Russ is the sex 22:21, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Best Buy labels a different tracklisting [6]. --DJREJECTED 01:28, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, and on Fall Out Boy's official webstore it's listed that way, except the first track is "Thriller" instead of Car Crash Hearts. I would trust these sources more than Best Buy. --66.122.243.195 04:34, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
If you go to AOL's music section and go to AOL Sessions, FOB plays two new songs from the album, one of them actually being "Thriller", so you can guess that it's the official title instead of "Car Crash Hearts". -- Faded 10:03, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Amazon.co.uk is listing 'G.I.N.A.S.F.S (UK Bonus Track)' as another uk bonus track ontop of true blue... any confirmation???
http://store.fueledbyramen.com/albumview.asp?idproduct=29718 - Infinity on High available for pre-order on the FBR site. Current OFFICIAL tracklisting (It does say tentative on the site), so the current one is correct. It has been confirmed that Thriller also features Jay-Z, however, so I guess that could still be edited in.
"G.I.N.A.S.F.S" and a new track title "Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?" (track 8) have appeared on [7]. Jfb392 23:08, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Whoever edited my edit to make it false, I will find out who you are. --Russ is the sex 03:43, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race was added as a single on iTunes on January 16. [8] Hopefully the album comes soon. Next week, maybe? --chrisdazzo
- I have updated the tracklisting again to reflect the changes made on various sites as to what the tracklisting is. [9][10][11]--Russ is the sex 23:05, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
- I see the corrected track listing here, but not on the article, so I'm making the edit.
- Is The track listing correct now (i.e. with the plus sign in track 4 and the brackets in track 12)? Jewisharific 06:23, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

- "My" should be capitalized on the last track. Also, the "the" in the second track should probably be lowercase Evan Reyes 09:11, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
Ashlee Simpson?
Anyone have information about the song All My Satisfaction Featuring Ashlee Simpson (Japan Bonus Track)???
- Their is no proof that a track of this title exists. --Russ is the sex 23:35, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
How long is this going to be edit protected?
Hasn't it been over a week. Oh well whoever is in charge add a February 7th release date for Japan and will contain two bonus tracks "G.I.N.A.S.F.S." and "It's Hard to Say "I Do" When I Don't". It will also feature a bonus DVD with their last 4 videos and making of the album and live material. [12] --DJREJECTED 23:14, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- The edit war is still obviously ongoing. Because of this it would be unwise to unprotect the article. --Russ is the sex 23:35, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
The album's been leaked, with the proper tracklisting, so would it be wise to request unprotection? Bown 09:51, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- The problem with that is that many people will still try to vandalize it. Maybe moving Infinity on High's article protection to semi would do the trick. --Russ is the sex 16:53, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Just requested it to be semi protected. Shrodes 23:46, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
G.I.N.A.S.F.S. and other song name information
- For those wondering, the letters G.I.N.A.S.F.S. stand for Gay Is Not A Synonym For Shitty. --Russ is the sex 23:42, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Also, Thnks fr th Mmrs is just Thanks for the Memories with the vowels removed. --Russ is the sex 21:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
- The track Thriller was originally known as Car Crash Hearts, and You're Crashing, But You're No Wave was originally known as Law And Order Bown 09:02, 21 January 2007 (UTC)
G.I.N.A.S.F.S. UK Bonus track
acording to amazon.co.uk and hmv.co.uk
can someone please add to track listingas track 15
thank you
- To whoever posted this. The answer is no. It is already listed as a bonus track and is not part of the standard tracklisting. --Russ is the sex 02:37, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
Track 13
The word "my" in track 13 should be capitalized. No reason for it to be lowercase. Please fix this. Evan Reyes 06:08, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

Guitar Solos
On personnel, it says the Panic and NFG guitarists did guest solos on "You're Crashing, But You're No Wave", but there aren't really any proper solos on that track. In fact, the only real solos on the record are on "The Take Over, The Break's Over", which has two different-sounding solos. Could this be the track with the guest guitarists instead? Information in the Notes
Thriller had a working title of Car Crash Hearts was told on TRL one day while they showed This Ain't A Scene, It's an Arms Race, but there isn't any way to prove this, because it was on a live show that repeats once, and the little blurbs aren't written anywhere from a good source. The performances of Thriller, The Take Over, The Breaks Over, and This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race I *think* are somewhere on the TRL site, but i can't open that because of all the flash things it needs, so someone else will have to do it. Best buy downloads
If you buy the cd at best buy, which i did, there is a little paper on the inside saying that if you go to http://www.falloutboy.islandrecords.com/bestbuy you can dowload FINASFS and a remix of TAAS,IAAR, but for some reason it says the page cannot be displayed. Does anyone know why? Also, how come I can't download the Leaked in London; I have the CD in? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Icelandic Hurricane (talk • contribs) 01:23, 8 February 2007 (UTC).
Try again, don't have any media player running at all. (The-kid-was-alright 05:09, 8 February 2007 (UTC))
Oh well I figured out how 2 download the best buy songs, there's now "www" at the beginning of the address, but i still can't download leaked in london. icelandic hurricane #12 (talk) 00:47, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Some one plz tell me why I can't download Leaked in london before 5:00 EST (I need to calm down)! icelandic hurricane #12 (talk) 12:42, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- This talk page is really not a forum. It is merely for discussion of changes made to the Wikipedia article. But to help you out a little, there are tons of torrent sites you can download the EP from, which I guess wouldn't even be all that illegal given you own the CD and (desperately :)) try downloading it legally. --HarryCane 14:05, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Last track?
New Zealandian ain't a word... :P
And MS Sam says "Now Press Repeat" at the end of "Gay Is Not.." on my cd, so I'm assuming it's after the last track. Does anybody know if the Japanese version had it at the end of "It's Hard To Say..."? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The-kid-was-alright (talk • contribs) 05:16, 8 February 2007 (UTC).
Yeah, I've heard it on youtube. "It's at the end of It's Hard To say I do When I don't" Living Long, The Car Crash Heart is still beating 04:17, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay, something's screwed up. I have the American cd, and there are no bonus tracks. Chaz 23:30, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
Thriller and Thnks fr th mmrs
Anyone have any credible sources that these are future singles?? I heard that Takeover was the second but that was on a forum and that isn't really a proper source. SilverNightFire 07:04, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
Not So sure about "Thnks fr th mmrs", but they have said that they want to outsell Micheal Jacksons Thriller single, so it's likely. Living Long, The Car Crash Heart is still beating 04:19, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Good point! I recall them saying something about that in an interview somewhere. Apparently thnks fr th mmrs was revealed to be the second single from a bbc radio 1 interview in england or somethin (or so the main FOB article says), but I searched and couldn't find anything on it besides the WP article SilverNightFire 14:38, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Can we get some chart positions on here soon? Xsxex 19:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Lyrics
Who wrote it? Wishera 22:25, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Pete wrote the lyrics, Pat wrote the music SilverNightFire 10:23, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
- Are you sure? I've heard that Pat wrote lyrics for "the take over the breaks over"... Wishera 17:44, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
I have a seperate lyrics querie... Some music pages have lyrics on them, which i find a little confusing - is it because not many people who contribute know the lyrics to certain songs, or they do but don't bother, or is it just something not really added here? With certain rules applicable to one article and not the other, I'm not sure whether to add lyrics to the singles in IOH out so far. (Perhaps it's not 'relevant' to the whole album, but it's this rather than on each singles page) Blackdragonwings 21:17, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Next Singles
Apparently there are at least two more singles with videos. www.falloutboyrock.com confirms this. (125.238.231.15 09:23, 4 April 2007 (UTC)) No, Pete said on the Late show that there would only be 2 singles off this album as they want to start recording the next one straight away.
WTF?!
Do we really need a page for every single song off Infinity on High?? The only ones that really need a page are the singles, the rest are a waste of space.
- While I agree we don't need a page for every song, I don't exactly agree with your singles statement. If a song is notable enough, single or not, it should get its own article. // DecaimientoPoético 02:05, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
The Take Over...
The Take Over, The Break's Over IS the next single and it has been confirmed. (125.238.232.138 01:55, 3 June 2007 (UTC))
- Just out of curousity, where has it been confirmed? No one has provided such info, hence why it keeps being removed. // DecaimientoPoético 02:04, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Bonus Track Code?
Can anyone post the code to get GINASFS and Arm's Race Remix and that other one?
NZ Platinum Edition
http://www.gpstore.co.nz/Music/1546785.html
In case anyone wanted proof, it's there. Same cover. It deserves a place in the article as it's bonus tracks, etc. (125.238.230.7 06:24, 3 September 2007 (UTC))
Platinum Edition Name Changes?
There are a few little differences in track names on the Australian platinum edition of infinity...a few subtle ones such as the quotation marks being dropped from "The Take Over, The Breaks Over" and .4 being called "I'm Like A Lawyer With All The Ways I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)" (Attention to the "All the Ways" and the "&" instead of the "+"). The list also drops the "All" from "I've Got All This Ringing In My Ears And None On My Fingers". Hope that made more sense than It did when I reread it... Kokiri kid 03:49, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- I have the CD myself and I wrote about that in the "Versions" section a few weeks back. I really wonder why it's different though...
"Track Listing" section condensed
Really, there's no reason the article needs to have each different tracklisting for every different release. I condensed it down to one listing for the audio (with the bonus tracks noted as such) and the DVD. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rwiggum (talk • contribs) 23:10, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
Release and Reception
We need to add a section that talks about critical reviews and it's Metascore. It's vital for any good Wikipedia article (I've seen very detailed analysis on Taylor Swift's "Speak Now" album page. This is Fall Out Boy's album with the best reviews, I'm sure someone can find good statements to use! Good luck! This article really needs it.
Rewrite
I am working on rewriting this page, and hopefully getting it to good article status. There seems to be a lot of random unsourced trivia which I have removed, although it is still in the page's history for future. Any help with improving the article would be greatly appreciated! Basilisk4u (talk) 23:07, 15 May 2011 (UTC)
- Wow, your rewriting of the page has done the page, and band proud! Excellent work, you're Awesome!!! I'd tried fixing things around without much success a few weeks ago. I have recommendations for the article that would improve it to Good Article status, some important and some for novelty.
- Track listing. We need to add in the Australian/New Zealand "Platinum" Edition with bonus songs and a bonus DVD. The other album's release versions' listings are in the page's history. The bonus track "G.I.N.A.S.F.S" is included for some countries, I'm definite the UK, Australia and New Zealand get this bonus. Japan gets "G.I.N.A.S.F.S" as well as "It's Hard to Say "I Do", When I Don't". The main infobox also has the release dates (although unsourced) for these other album versions, so it needs to be included in the track listing and prose. Necessary
- A "Versions" section should be added to discuss the different versions released. There's the normal one; I'm not sure if there was a DigiPak without any extra tracks; the Walmart (and maybe other stores) edition with an altered cover art and and bonus song; international versions eg Australia, New Zealand and the UK having a bonus song, and a DigiPak version with bonus songs (only in USA I think), and an Australian/New Zealand "Platinum" Edition with many bonus songs and a DVD. Good to have
- The track listing titles are slightly different on the Australian/New Zealand "Platinum" Edition, such as ""The Take Over, The Breaks Over"" written without quotation marks and "I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You) written as "I'm Like a Lawyer with All the Ways I'm Trying to Get You Off (Me + You)". "...Arms Race" doesn't have a apostrophe for "aint", same for the live track listing, but its "ain't" for the DVD listing and ""The Take Over, The Breaks Over"", but the quotation marks are missing in the AOL session track listing (of the DVD). "Sugar, We're Goin Down" is written as "Sugar We're Going Down" with an extra "g" as the track listing for the AOL session. This sounds a bit confusing but it's easier if you have the CD to read off. Source: I have the "Platinum" edition CD.
- I think Metacritic's score of 75/100 needs be added to the "Critical Reception" section. Also, I think it may be good if the section itself is expanded. I would challenge the inclusion of "Sputnikmusic" as I do not think it is a proper source, unlike RollingStone, for instance. DONE However, still unsure about the " Dave de Silva of Sputnikmusic agreed about Stump's new vocal style, saying that "his tone is smoother and more well-rounded, he’s cut out the borderline screechy high-end which made parts of the previous album unlistenable" in the article. I'm not sure if they're a proper citic and they called From Under the Cork Tree "unlistenable"...
- The "Charts, certifications and procession" section of the page need to be revised for countries worldwide; I would guess that the album has more certifications then what is currently listed on the page. I hope we didn't miss any. It's in the gold Japan albums category, but there's nothing about that on the page.
The "Charts" part needs to be expanded, the album charted worldwide but the page only lists 4 countries. (Done?) Year-end charts would also be very nice.
- Sales totals of the album for the United-States and worldwide figures (latest sources would be nice) would definately be informative for the article; maybe for the singles too if that information can be found (I'm not talking the certification here, I mean the actual sales totals).
- A "Chart Performance" section should be created that deals with (obviously) the album's charting. I have sources for sales figures for the first 6 weeks that the album was in the top 10, that's all I can find (Billboard.biz articles). ***I'll add to this in due course and hopefully expand the section in a few weeks***
- A "Singles" section should be created for the album's four singles that deals with release date, etc. For reference, "The Carpal Tunnel of Love" is not an actual single, but was rather a song released online by the band for fans to download (Patrick Stump told me on Twitter and besides, the song was not actually properly released; leaked online and later put on iTunes). Should a song sample of a single be added?Done
- Accolades
- The "Release history" section needs to be expanded - currently it only has release dates for Japan, the UK and the US.
- Mention of the "Leaked in London" EP as the band's strategy to encourage fans to buy the album after its leak. It was obtainable by inserting a physical copy of Infinity on High into the computer and something with the website. DONE
- Alternate album art description in main infobox and check if there's anything missing in the infobox.
- In the "Composition" section: Contrast the sound to Take This to Your Grave and From Under the Cork Tree; Fall Out Boy elements still there. ***Might be nice***
- "Promotion". This section critically requires expanding. Information about the lead up to the album, TV performances as well as headlining tours should go here. Could have more TV performances/appearances. Mostly done'
- A more comprehensive "Personnel" section with information from the album's booklet. Also, stuff about Wesley Eisold?
- Does the lead introduction need to be revised? Looks good
- Song trivia that was removed was interesting/informative/useful, maybe recover them and weave them into the page somehow? *The "Now press repeat" and clapping at the end of the last track on the CD. Also, mention some lyrics being "stolen" from Wesley Eisold?
- Does anyone know the themes and inspirations of the album? I'm not sure of them myself, but if someone managed to find enough information about it, maybe a "Themes and inspirations" section could be created? Problem with this is that only Pete Wentz knows his lyrics' true meaning. Reporters could say it's about the band's rise of fame but it's likely something completely different.
- A picture of the band live in concert. Good
- Lots of print sources available in Fall Out Boy's discussion page that can be used to add information or can be used to cite sources.
- Proper source citation in accordance to Wikipedia's standards. Looks good
With all of this, I'm sure the article will immediately quality for Good Article status. I'll be trying to help out with some of this too, but I've beeen busy with work. Noreplyhaha (talk) 05:50, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hey! Wow, thank you so much for noticing! I really like this album and I think it deserves a good article. Thank you for your suggestions, there are a lot of sources out there on the album that we can use. So far, I have just been trying to restructure the article and make new sections, so some of them need a lot of expansion, like the promotion section as you noted. Unfortunately there are some dead links in the article, and Rolling Stone has removed a lot of their articles from their online database that had really good information. Also, the only source I could find for the Wesley Eisold plagiarism issue was posted by an anonymous source on Absolutepunk.org, and I definitely do not think it is reliable, but I will keep looking. Some of the trivia may be difficult to find sources for, but I will try my best as I agree that they would be great additions to the article. Again, thanks for your help :) I absolutely believe we can make this an amazing article! Basilisk4u (talk) 20:07, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
- The article is infinity on high times better than what it was a month ago, which was just an intro, a track listing and trivia. Now it's excellent! I got a lot of ideas on "sections" of an article from other well written album articles, and maybe they could be used as a template? Also, where did you find all those informative sources? I've been looking on the internet before but I have not found many good ones like you did. Maybe when we get this article done we should work on the other FOB albums too! Noreplyhaha (talk) 05:50, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
- I've noticed that you've added some Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz pictures to Wikipedia for the Fall Out Boy pages, and I was suggesting if you could find a better picture for the Fall Out Boy page and a recent picture for Patrick Stump's page that reflects his weight loss that'd be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Noreplyhaha (talk • contribs) 10:46, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hey! Sorry I was gone so long, I have been really busy for the past couple weeks. I am not exactly sure how I found them, but MTV.com has a ton of news stories that are really informative, and you can also search "Articles about Infinity on High" on newspaper websites like the New York Times and stuff like that. I have been trying to look for more recent photos of the group, but it is quite difficult to find pictures with suitable licenses. Also, I am thinking that the article is pretty close to being ready to be nominated for a GA, but there are a few things I am unsure what to do about. Charts are not my strong suit, and there seem to be a lot of random charts towards the end of the article, and some of them need sources. I am a bit afraid to approach them because I am worried that if I type one thing wrong, it will mess up the format. I also need to find more stuff for the "Accolades" section. And I think that's about it! Then we can definitely work on the other FOB albums! Basilisk4u (talk) 06:45, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hello, don't be sorry, you made the page awesome!!! It used to be pretty much an intro, track listing and trivia before you came. I don't know many newspaper websites at all since I'm in Australia. In my suggestions above I highlighted some things that I think would be important to the article, such as the track listing for different versions and sales totals. I've had experience in writing the charts, I can copy the template from other well written pages, namely Taylor Swift's Fearless and Speak Now (awesome CDs) and Michael Jackson's Thriller. Using that idea, you could maybe look at other good/featured articles to see what they have that this doesn't. I discovered that Fall Out Boy doesn't actually have a lead guitarist, but Patrick Stump and Joe Trohman have always been sharing lead and rhythm guitar - Twitter Direct Message from Patrick Stump - which is a massive misconception! There's pre available chart formatting on WP Help pages. I added to the lead introduction with ideas from MJ's Thriller album. I can't wait to see what other FOB album and song pages would be like after we work on them!
- Could you add the album the category of Island albums and Decaydance?Noreplyhaha (talk) 05:16, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, I am thinking that I will just delete a few of the charts as they are not in any featured/good articles, such as Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Rock Steady, which I have been using as models. I have been kind of busy with summer classes, but I will continue to work on this article. Also, the Accolades section is too short and I think I will remove it until I can find enough sources. After this I think that the album will be good to go. And I agree! We will make them amazing! Basilisk4u (talk) 15:14, 1 July 2011 (UTC)

- I am tempted to quick-fail, but since you've waited so long, I'll give you week to make the required changes. The "Citation tags" are unacceptable; you need to source everything. Several sections have poor grammar, and are just plain disorganized. Additionally, several need expansion. The second image fails NFCC, as there is no rational for its inclusion (I'll be removing that myself). Also, sections like "Accolades" is a bit ridiculous. Half a sentence for a section? I'd rate you at about a 60% to GA, so you have a lot of work. You have one week. Good luck. If you have additional questions of inquiries, feel free to post them here.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 04:21, 18 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for reviewing, but I am confused about what you want me to fix. What image are you talking about that you are removing? Also, what do you want me to change about the grammar and organization? Please be more specific. Basilisk4u (talk) 21:49, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
- "Several sections have poor grammar, and are just plain disorganized." Could you point out where? They seem perfect to me. Just charting needs expansion... Noreplyhaha (talk) 14:54, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

- Sure, I'll be more specific.
- Per the article's length, the lead should really be longer. It only summarizes its critical and chart success, and nothing about its music or direction. I think a middle paragraph is necessary, discussing maybe the promotion they did for the album, as well as its music and lyrics and/or inspiration.
Done. Basilisk4u (talk) 05:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC) I created another paragraph, let me know if you feel it can be improved.
- Next, the alternative cover serves no extra purpose. From what I'm aware, it doesn't really have significant mention in the article, so there is no sufficient rational. Disorganization; the photo by the background in messily placed. Try and format it, and move it around (especially after the alt covers removal).
Done. Basilisk4u (talk) 05:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC) I agree.
- Prose can be better. Please have a thorough read-through and try and better them as much as possible. Simple things like "The band's label, Island Records, underwent changes while the band prepared to record, which postponed the recording schedule for three weeks." (band, band, record, record).
- Working on this. Basilisk4u (talk) 05:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Maybe an audio sample would be beneficial (or two) for the music and lyrics section, discussing the most important tracks and their melodies and instrumentation etc (see The Emancipation of Mimi for an example of a GA-Class and complete album article).
- I actually do not know very much about using audio samples. I may have to get help from another user with this, so please bear with me on this one. Basilisk4u (talk) 05:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- I can help you with that. Give me maybe two songs that you discuss the most in depth in the article (not commercially, musically) and tell me what parts of the song you want. I can upload them.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 07:02, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you! I think the two songs that would be good to discuss would be "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race", (from 0:09 to 0:30) and "I'm Like a Lawyer with the Way I'm Always Trying to Get You Off (Me & You)" (from 0:00 to 0:21) That would be awesome! Basilisk4u (talk) 15:45, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Where should I get the files? Basilisk4u (talk) 17:58, 27 August 2011 (UTC)

- Simple MoS issues (only 10 reviews are allowed in the chart, several are unreliable so shouldn't be an issue).
- Fixed the chart, are there any more problems? Basilisk4u (talk) 05:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
- Now, several unreliable and poorly formatted references. Again, look at Mimi for that, I'll give you some examples. #6 should not be in italics, as it is an online source (and you're missing the publisher). Why are 10 ad 11 different if they are the same website? Honestly, issues in every source. What makes 13 and 17 reliable?
- Fixed the ones you mentioned here, I replaced 13 and 17. Basilisk4u (talk) 05:17, 26 August 2011 (UTC)
There you go for now. As you see, you have some work to do. Good luck!--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 18:21, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
- Important - Okay. The two files have been uploaded. I trust you know how, but they need rationals (both) for their usage. Add them to each file page, and then as a description in the article on why the sample is needed. As I said, the sources still need a lot of attention.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 21:50, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
- I have done the rationales and descriptions. Also, I have been comparing the sources on this page to the ones on The Emancipation of Mimi and I am having a bit of a hard time seeing the differences on a lot of them. But I totally see that you are doing a lot right now (with all your other GA reviews/nominations) so please take your time and thanks for the review so far! :) Basilisk4u (talk) 03:27, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
I'm very impressed with your descriptions for the samples. Well done. Now we'll continue:
- You mention several different release dates in the infobox, yet don't see anything regarding this in the actual body. Even if you place it, no need to stack all that info there. Simply link us to a "release history" chart. Post the first date it was released, and then
(see release history) - Now, as for the references. Look at Mimi and Control+F and search for the sources there. You will see the differences. Compare #s 9, 10, 13, 16, 19, 25, 26. Know that published newspapers need to use "Cite news" not "Cite web. It makes the publisher appear in parenthesis. Also, the charting sources need changing too, as well as the fact that several references towards the end are missing accessdates
- The commercial reception section needs expanding. From that, you should have two decent sections. A "Commercial performance" and "Singles" section. List other certifications and chart positions for other countries aside from the US in the prose. Also, you will need to expand the singles part as well
- After you make these fixes you are going to need someone not familiar with this topic to do a copy-edit. The prose need work. I suggest using the GOCE (Guild of Copy-Editors).--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 20:13, 29 August 2011 (UTC)
- These changed and fixed need to be made. I'll give you until 9/7. Until then, I hope major progress, prose and reference wise are made (in addition to said points).--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 10:14, 1 September 2011 (UTC)
- How's the lead introduction? Noreplyhaha (talk) 07:00, 2 September 2011 (UTC)
So. The article is coming along nicely. This is what I would say still needs to be done before a pass. You need to source the "Singles" section, and remove non-neutral words like "success" etc. Also, the commercial section could still use a little boost in terms of format. List the certification agencies when discussing Platinum and Gold certifications; (RIAA), (BPI) (but spell them out, look at Mimi). Once again, they look better, but look through each ref, and compare them to Mimi and fix them; examples are the usage of "Cite News" and "Cite Web" (I explained the differences on the talk page of User: Jivesh boodhun, take a look. Also, some works and publishers need fixing. Lastly, read through the article (after the above things have been addressed) and thoroughly read it and copy0edit it to the best of your ability. I think after that, you'r looking at a GA :). Get to it, you have until Sunday at most! (I'm going to be leaving).--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 12:58, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for your continued efforts in reviewing and contributions! For the track listing, since the other versions are mentioned, should it list the bonus tracks? (The bonuses and the Australian Platinum Tour Edition are in the history of the page before it was rewritten) Noreplyhaha (talk) 09:55, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, if there is another version hat was notable with additional tracks, it should be mentioned with an additional collapsible track listing. Look at Mimi for how to do it.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 12:50, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- Hey, I went through the page's history and found the bonus tracks, do we need to put the tracks on the DVDs that were included with special editions of the CD? Basilisk4u (talk) 16:28, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, if there is another version hat was notable with additional tracks, it should be mentioned with an additional collapsible track listing. Look at Mimi for how to do it.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 12:50, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

- For the Australian and New Zealand Platinum Edition, the track listing names are slightly different to the original release and I have no idea why this is, although in the lyric booklet the titles are the original ones. I wrote about the differences on the discussion page a while ago. Source: I have the Platinum edition. As for international bonus tracks, "GINASFS" might have been released in other countries besides just the UK and Australia, namely New Zealand. Japan bonus track is "GINASFS" as well as "It's Hard to Say "I Do," When I Don't." (http://hmv.co.jp/product/detail/3520233) The US Deluxe Edition was in Digipak format, I'm not sure if it was also available as standard edition Digipak. On eBay I've seen a UK version Digipak...lots of different versions it's confusing. Also, on the discussion page there is more about the bonuses. "GINASFS" is also a Best Buy bonus and "It's Hard to Say..." for Wal-Mart along with a special cover. Noreplyhaha (talk) 02:27, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Good Article!
I've noticed that Infinity on High just reached Good Article status, that's so awesome! I'd like to especially thank Basilisk4u for all her hard work in writing most the page and making it as it is now, it wouldn't be there without you; you would do the Fall Out Boy members proud too haha. The page is amazing as is the album. I'd also like extend my appreciation to Petergriffin9901 for reviewing and providing lots of guidance on getting the page to GA. Maybe might collaborate again when you review other pages or even Infinity to Feature Article. I'm still be interested in further improving it, there's still more work that could be done. Noreplyhaha (talk) 09:13, 11 September 2011 (UTC)
- Still missing... When did FOB announce first single "...Arms Race"? Was it after their AMA performance? What would help: More tours (I know they did Aus) and TV+festivals appearances. Noreplyhaha (talk) 07:04, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Notes for further improvements
Further improvements for if this article was ever to attempt to reach Featured Article.
- When did Fall Out Boy announce first single "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race"? Was it before or after their AMA performance? Could be noted when the band first debuted the song title and also when the album's cover art was released.
- The album was originally scheduled (tentatively?) for a December 2006 release but was delayed a bit. Worth mentioning this history?
- Coverage of their other tours (I know they played at arenas in Australia for the first time) and TV+festivals appearances.
- Tracklisting for all the other versions. I found a source for the Bestbuy and Walmart bonus tracks.
- Points I wrote months ago here.

If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request it's removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Broken Link
The fourth reference, the one in which Pete talks about being inspired by Lil Wayne, seems to be a broken link; the page no longer exists. Which is a shame, because I was curious as to what it said. Anyway, either we need to find another source for Pete's inspiration, or it has to be deleted.
