Hollyoaks referencing
I noticed you going through the references an improving them, I was going to go and do the ones that you hadn't done, but I couldn't find the archive date, where did you get it so I know for future reference? Yoshi58724 (talk) 17:06, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Hello there. Thank you for adding references to the section as they are much needed. I had some time to spare so did the majority of them. If you would like to do the rest, that is great. To archive a link you need to visit WebCite and put the url in and a valid email address. Then it will archive the link, you copy and paste it into the citation and just put the date you archived the link. I only do this because I used to find a lot of obscure or useless sources were getting deleted - so it just preserves them - but not 100% important.Rain the 1 23:07, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks, I'll go do that now. I was also considering creating some character articles for Hollyoaks and was wondering where some good sources to find information would be and what to type in to find that information. Yoshi58724 (talk) 19:11, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I always find Digital Spy to be very useful to start. Then you have the soap magazines Inside Soap, All About Soap and Soaplife. TVTimes used to be good but they stopped their Hollyoaks interviews. Searching The Free Library is often very useful. Jaci Stephen's Daily Mail column always throws up reception information. I use HighBeam too, but I am not sure they give them out to newer members currently until they gain enough contribs. Out of interest, which characters would you have been interested in creating? I know Jim McGinn could have scraped an article.Rain the 1 21:23, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Surprisingly Jim was one I was thinking of as he was my favourite character. I was also thinking Jono and Will. Are there any archives for the Soap Magazines, because I can't find any info from them yet. Yoshi58724 (talk) 20:39, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Oh no there are not any archives. We wish. A few of us have been buying them for the past few years. Will is also a great choice. I could never be bothered to make one.Rain the 1 22:30, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- We could collaborate on the articles, as I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on the older ones that deal with the characters. Yoshi58724 (talk) 22:54, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, sure thing. Always good when it is team work. Let me know when you need help with any.Rain the 1 01:39, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Awesome, I'll start a workpage and get some internet references, if you can so ones from the magazines that'd be good. I'll also work on a draft for the storylines section. Yoshi58724 (talk) 17:02, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I noticed you have began work on the draft. One thing I noticed - and it tripped me up when I first joined. The lead section should be completed last because it is meant to sum up the article in a nut shell. Another thing is that you mentioned Mercedes and gave her too much weight. He is not Mercedes' lawyer for the duration so mentioning it so early on first could give the wrong impression. And the last thing, no sources in the lead as sourced content belongs in the article.Rain the 1 23:12, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Also - was Trevor listed before Sonny earlier? I think you could be right?Rain the 1 23:18, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I saw him listed before Dodger and seeing as they go alphabetical from last names I'd assume he is now main as I doubt Dodger has been made recurring. And thanks I'll make some changes, feel free to change it if you want as well. Yoshi58724 (talk) 16:33, 7 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Would the image of Jim here be acceptable to upload to Wikipedia for the page? Yoshi58724 (talk) 01:44, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry to bother you, but I haven't gotten a response and I'd like to know as I don't want to break any uploading rules for Wikipedia. Yoshi876 (talk) 22:47, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- Oh sorry I completely missed this - not like me! It is fine, any screen shot will do though. Crop it so it is his face, just link the source when you upload if you use that one though.Rain the 1 23:11, 15 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I decided to go with another images, that I haven't uploaded, however it is in a .png format and not a jpg format. Would it still be allowed to upload this? If you want I can upload to imgur and link you from there. Yoshi876 (talk) 16:43, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- It will not matter. It is fine. If it bothers you - open in paint and save as a jpg.Rain the 1 19:42, 18 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: H&A
Dialogue refers to her as Thompson and she was credited as such when she came back in a guest spot for Shane and Angel's wedding so IS were barking up the wrong tree.
Anyway, I've kind of been on a relaxed editing kick as of late. I'd be happy if I could get 1999 and 2007 finished. Judith and Roman are the only real respective obstacles for each.
Conquistador2k6 16 March 2014 23:11 (UTC)
I do have Roman's article in the works but with a paltry 8 sources, it just hasn't been touched for some time. Some development with his relationships with Nicole, Martha, Charlie and Leah would be a real kick up the arse for the article. I just wish there were some more archive sites for Judith (was gutted when I tried to raid the archives of the official site and came up with nothing) or at least some Anna Hruby interviews in newspapers relating to her time on the show.

Frank Rogers (Brookside)
Good job cleaning Frank Rogers (Brookside) up and adding sources. Any chance you want to do the same on the other characters? Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 12:54, 31 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

List of Casualty characters
Further to your reversion, could you kindly clarify the common name note? There has been some discussion of the naming for those characters with nicknames on Soaper1234's talk page. The naming I changed to is that which has been in place for a long time and was change recently. In my view, it is most accurate to show both the nickname and also full name together to cover all bases. Thanks. Adamiow (talk) 19:54, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- If these characters had their own articles - what would you name the article? If Dixie had an article would you title it - "Kathleen 'Dixie' Dixon", "Dixie Dixon" or "Dixie (Casualty)". When Fletch arrives in Holby City I will be able to judge just how often he is called Adrian and be leaving or moving in accordance to his common name - not just in the show - but from the real world perspective.. looking in magazines and online article. Sometimes characters are more often referred to by their nickname alongside a second name - Dodger Savage or Toadfish Rebecchi. Sometimes they are referred most commonly by only their first name - Jono (Hollyoaks), Fletch (Hollyoaks) and Bombhead. You use WP:COMMONNAME and keep consistency to avoid confusion - not only in the article but related articles and lists. Casualty for some reason has half their characters with nicknames - could be a tricky one. But a shows titles do not have an exclusive handle on Wikipedia.Rain the 1 20:55, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Seems we were both pretty creative yesterday (my effort), but you did an awesome job on Colette's article. I hope you're taking it to DYK? - JuneGloom Talk 13:14, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I noticed. No doubt her on-screen antics will create a character article before too long. TY - I will create a hook tonight. =]Rain the 1 20:38, 16 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lomax family
Hi, I need the photo of the Lomax family in one of their first scenes at the hospital around Tegan and I don't know how to upload a photo. Could you please help me?
Thanks, --#Soaper1234 (talk) 16:46, 11 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi once again Rain, was just wondering if you could help me with a family tree for the Lomaxes as I'm sure how to make one.
Thank you every so much, --#Soaper1234 (talk) 19:38, 16 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
- I have never made one. I guess there is probably software available? Perhaps there are generators online? If it were me I would make one on Paint.Rain the 1 21:12, 17 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hollyoaks
Hi Raintheone,
Just wondering if there is a place where you could request a place for Hollyoaks articles to be created. I wanted Nana McQueen, Jim McGinn, Will Savage, Maxine Minniver and Patrick Blake to have their own articles.
Also, I have been updating a lot of images on articles recently are they all okay or do they need to be changed.
Thanks, IAidanBarry
