Alwafysaeed, what is your question? We can't help you unless you tell us what the problem is. Your draft was declined because you only wrote one word, that's why. MatthewVanitas (talk) 15:52, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I Would Like To make a Request To start the Super Bowl LIII Page on Wikipedia.68.102.58.146 (talk) 16:56, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 68.102.58.146, did you read the advice we already gave you just a couple days ago? It's posted just a little higher on this page: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation/Help_desk#03:29:54.2C_2_December_2014_review_of_submission_by_68.102.58.146. 20:15:36, 6 December 2014 review of draft by Vic-rR

20:15:36, 6 December 2014 request for review by Vic-rR

How to insert picture from internet??? Vic-rR (talk) 20:15, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Vic-rR, please see images for instructions. Note: you cannot just copy any old image you find on the internet and upload it. In your situation, you can only upload an image of Lewis if either you personally took the photo, or if the person who did files a WP:OTRS form to release it. Also, do not worry about the image until your article actually publishes, as there's no point if it never gets published. MatthewVanitas (talk) 22:15, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Also, your draft as it no stands is not at all publishable; you must read Wikipedia:Notability (people) to see the requirements for it to be publishable. MatthewVanitas (talk) 22:16, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 14:11:18, 7 December 2014 for assistance on AfC submission by MauriSchembri

Can you please correct as necessary? Thank you!

MauriSchembri 14:11, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello User:MauriSchembri, here at Helpdesk we provide advice on fixing articles, we don't fix them for you since likely there's nobody here who's as interested in your topic as you are. A few points of advice?
  • Are you writing about yourself? If so, that's a very bad idea for a number of reasons, so I strongly advise you read our guideline WP:Autobiography for why you probably don't want to do that.
  • The other problem with you article is that it's written for Schembri, not about Schembri. That is, it's written in a promotional manner, praising the subject, advertising. Wikipedia articles require you follow the guideline WP:Neutrality.
  • Lastly, you don't provide any of the needed sourcing, so to make this publishable you must read WP:Notability (music) and check your draft against those sourcing guidelines.
MatthewVanitas (talk) 14:19, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Matthew! I understand and don't worry. No big deal! Thanks again — Preceding unsigned comment added by MauriSchembri (talkcontribs) 14:29, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Abirfarid: You created several copies of your draft and they were deleted because they were duplicative. Sadly, you never submitted your original draft for review, which is why no one reviewed it. I can tell you now the subject isn't notable. Writing articles for magazines doesn't make one notable. Working for a think tank doesn't make one notable. You need to make a case for notability. 20:50:56, 7 December 2014 review of submission by Efleurantin2013

The reviewer was not specific as to what I needed to change. He mentioned the article was more like an essay but failed to give me specific pointers as to how to make my article acceptable. It seems that the reviewer merely read the article and copied and pasted a line that he often uses for similar comments. For this review to be beneficial, it would be better to let me know what needs to be changed in order for me to do so. I'm basically asking for what I could do to make this article better and hence pass the review process. Efleurantin2013 (talk) 20:50, 7 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Efleurantin2013: The reviewer left a comment on the draft, pointing to WP:FORUM or WP:NOTHOWTO, and WP:NOTJOURNAL. Your draft is not about an encyclopedic subject; it's a how-to and it lacks in-line citations, to boot. Chris Troutman (talk) 03:35, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I understand. Thank you for the reply. I will work to write better encyclopedic articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Efleurantin2013 (talkcontribs) 01:24, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

09:25:11, 8 December 2014 review of submission by Citkirloskar

Hi, I have submitted a document already on Mr. Vijay R Kirloskar . The same is yet not approved . I request you to please accept the same , so that the same gets published. If anything is required to authenticate the details, please convey so that I can arrange for the same.

Regards Geogy George Citkirloskar (talk) 09:25, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Citkirloskar, your draft was deleted because it was a WP:Copyright violation of: http://www.ceoclubsindia.com/?q=node/9144 . It is absolutely forbidden to simply copy-paste other websites onto Wikipedia, we do not permit theft of others' intellectual property. Even if CEOClubs has expressly said they're fine with their work being released under WP:Creative Commons, we can't just accept your word for it, the organization itself would have to file a WP:OTRS form with management. That said, most such websites are not good material for copying anyway since they do not present material in a neutral and objective manner.
If you want to write about this person, I strongly suggest you start from scratch rather than copying. Before you even begin, please read WP:Notability (people), to make sure that he meets that guideline, and if so gather your sources before you even begin writing, as only clearly sourced information is admissible. Hope this helps! MatthewVanitas (talk) 14:50, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

113.199.144.215 (talk) 13:51, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello 113.199.144.215, what is your question? Right now the draft is being deleted because it is copied from http://www.preservearticles.com/2011112617936/write-a-essay-on-patriotism-essay-for-school-students.html . If that site is your own writing, you could release it to Wikipedia with a WP:OTRS form, however the material you've copied is not at all suitable for an encyclopedia, as it's written like an emotional essay/editorial, not at all like an encyclopedia article. If you want to write about Nepal, might I suggest you start with some basic Wikipedia learning at Wikipedia:Learning the ropes, and then next move to improving our current articles about Nepal which need work? I need help putting my final article on the public wikipedia space. I am writing an article for a class and I have edited all of it, so now my last step is to launch it.

Theodoramakris (talk) 17:23, 8 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Theodora. That draft is currently awaiting review, but that might take a very long time... maybe weeks. In the meantime, one thing it is lacking, is what we call wikilinks. Banda.krishna (talk) 03:11, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I had submitted a lot of material on' Kalayana' purely on the basis of the Puranas. Here and there I might have added my observations and conclusions. I am surprised to know that such an information has been rejected attributing bad faith. Was it because I was leaving strong evidence that may lead to the conclusion that the Kalayavana who has bee described in the Puraanas was none other than Alexander the Great ? Please suggest how I can rectify the article and resubmit the same after necessary modifications TO wIKIPEDIA. Banda.krishna (talk) 03:11, 9 December 2014 (UTC) Banda Krishna satyanarayana[reply]

07:53:15, 9 December 2014 review of draft by Mikaamit

I want to add a new page without it being reviewed. Is it possible?

Mikaamit (talk) 07:53, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is possible but it is generally not a good idea. The individual described in your draft User:Mikaamit/sandbox looks likely to be notable under Wikipedia's standard Wikipedia:ACADEMIC, so you may wish to go ahead and submit it by putting {{subst:submit}} at the top of that page. A review may take weeks, but there is no hurry presumably? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 13:13, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

12:42:24, 9 December 2014 review of submission by Stuart 1 2 3

Hello

I created a draft page about James Dixon on 13th November. I realise there is a backlog - but I wondered if you could advise if this page is likely to be approved - and if so when I should expect it to go live. Please also let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the page.

Stuart 1 2 3 (talk) 12:42, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Stuart. Drafts are not reviewed in strict order, so there is no way of saying for certain when a review will happen. One could speculate that, having awaited review for nearly a month, it will hopefully happen fairly soon.
With regard to its chances of being accepted, I am not certain. As I understand it, Dixon's claims to notability are essentially his work for a local council, where he was Chairman and also served for a very long period in other senior roles, a primary school being named after him, and mentions of him in local newspapers. This may or may not be enough to establish his notability by Wikipedia's standards... it is rather borderline. Any additional reliable sources that you can provide would help.
It may be worth formatting the two Beckenham Journal mentions as references so that they appear in the References section... they do not need to be available online in order to do so. A reviewer might otherwise not notice that they are valid sources for supporting Dixon's notability. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 13:07, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Stuart 1 2 3: no Declined A person who might be well-known locally is not necessarily considered notable on Wikipedia. Beyond that, this entry needs to have more independent and reliable sources to verify both the facts and your assertion of notability. Chris Troutman (talk) 14:37, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

18:31:46, 9 December 2014 review of submission by Lilyb12

Hello, how does one add a picture to a page? I can't see any advice on how to achieve that. Thank you. Lilyb12 (talk) 18:31, 9 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Lilyb12: no Declined Your account is still too new to upload images. Wikipedia:Images gives the instructions. At this point you need to worry about your draft. I don't think the subject is notable so discussion about images is irrelevant. Chris Troutman (talk) 01:50, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

04:44:56, 10 December 2014 review of submission by Amsoft2001

I have created the draft to let Wikipedia know that there is an entity named "AM Infosystems". I have noticed that it has been declined and deleted. It is really disappointing. When I did that draft, I took enough care to make it proper as per wikipedia guidelines. I don't think I have promoted any product or all of the services that the organization render. I searched wikipedia for "Infosys", "Tata Consultancy Services", "WEBEL" and so on and I noticed that all of the organizations (Practically a Company or Business) are there. So I thought why not us! We might be smaller one and not a giant, but as those entities can have place on wiki, then we should have our place as well. If Wikipedia does not allow Business Entities to promote them or put them on wikipedia then the above Pages (and more I'll provide) needs to removed immediately as well. I think rule is rule and the same rule should be applied on every entity, does not matter if it is a big one or small. I hope that I'll get a proper information.Thank you. Amsoft2001 (talk) 04:44, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Amsoft2001. Wikipedia does have articles about companies, in cases where the company has received significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. The issue is not whether articles about companies are permissible, but how the article is written. Draft:AM Infosystems was looked at by two experienced administrators, both of whom took the view that the way it was written was so hopelessly promotional that it would need to be completely re-written in order to be an appropriate encyclopedia article.
The articles about Infosys and other companies may or may not be better written... if not then they could be deleted too. You could find better examples of articles about companies by looking at some recognised Wikipedia Good Articles from the list at Wikipedia:Good articles/Social sciences and society#Businesses & organizations. THEFILMHOUSE (talk) 13:15, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm Ashiq and I created THEFILMHOUSE for my Film Production Company. and I got this message;

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "THEFILMHOUSE", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a username change that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. VVikingTalkEdits 12:52, 9 December 2014 (UTC)

My questions are;

Do I have to change the username or the Article Name? What should I do next?

thanks

@THEFILMHOUSE: - You should follow the instructions here and change your username to something that can be identified as an individual rather than a company. Regarding your submission, it is written in a completely inappropriate tone and unsuitable for an encyclopedia. For example : "The Film House is a world-class production company and filmmaking collective at home in Doha, Qatar. With bold imaginations and creative productions" World-class according to whom? Anyone can have bold imaginations and "creative productions" doesn't mean anything - who would want to be uncreative? Are you as significant and successful as Film Four, Mirimax or StudioCanal? You should read the plain and simple conflict of interest guide and understand why you probably don't want to be writing this sort of article on Wikipedia at all. Sorry. Bobwells1960 (talk) 19:20, 10 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have two questions:

1. Regarding my International Tax Policy Forum submission -- the reason I got for rejection was the references are not verifiable. They look fine to me.

2. Regarding my Camp Manitou for Boys submission -- it seems to have disappeared. I want to do some edits so it can finally get published. How can I find it, if it was deleted?

  1. Wikipedia content should be based on reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as newspapers or reputable magazines. None of your references meet this standard; they without exception were written by ITPF or a conference they sponsored.
  2. There is Draft:Camp Manitou for Boys, written by User:Robert J Wells. Most of the references you listed at that account's talk page seemed to be of little use to me, with the Business Insider list of "absurdly expensive camps" the best of the bunch.
