Auto Defense Choc

[edit]
  • ALT1:... that the CIA's Auto Defense Choc paid ten cents per day?
  • ALT2:... that within two months of its founding, the American Auto Defense Choc had surrounded the Plain of Jars with 5,000 newly trained troops?
  • Reviewed: Church of the Holy Family, Ince Blundell
  • Comment: If there was ever a program for producing instant soldiers, this is it. Used to train Lao hill tribesmen to fight communist invaders, this program became the mainstay of Royalist Lao resistance to the Vietnamese and Pathet Lao. It was so successful it was widely copied throughout Southeast Asia during the Laotian Civil War and the Vietnam War. It was doomed by its own success, as ADC troops were absorbed into the regular forces.Georgejdorner (talk) 21:08, 7 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Article is new enough (Dec 7), long enough (13002 characters), and is referenced with inline citations. No neutrality or copvio issues detected - AGF on the offline sources. QPQ done.
Hook and ALTs probably need to specify American Auto Defense Choc, rather than Auto Defense Choc in general, as that is what is cited in the article.
ALT2 would also need to specify within two months of what. Fixed
Otherwise, hook and ALTs are okay for formatting and content. Initial hook seems the most intriguing. - Evad37 [talk] 04:00, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Excellent point about ALT2, actually. I have remedied the ambiguity in both article and hook.Georgejdorner (talk) 04:12, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
  • @Georgejdorner: Per above, I think the hook/ALTs need to specify American, rather than just Auto Defense Choc in general. Was the success of the French Auto Defense Choc based on prepackaged equipment? Were the Thai Auto Defense Choc paid ten cents per day? And the same for ALT2 - Evad37 [talk] 02:17, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Whoops, I somehow missed the original comment above about "American". Now I have added a variety of modifications to specify.Georgejdorner (talk) 17:51, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks Georgejdorner. GTG on hook or either ALT (AGF on sources per above) - Evad37 [talk] 03:41, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
