2015 BTS Live Trilogy Episode II: The Red Bullet is 2015 concert tour headlined by the South Korean boy band Bangtan Boys. The tour was held between June and August 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Melbourne, New York City, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico, San Paulo, Chile, Bangkok, and Hong Kong. This tour is the continuation of 2014 BTS Live Trilogy Episode II: The Red Bullet, the first half, which only included cities in Asia.
The debut New York concert was cut short due to alleged death threats toward member Rap Monster that surfaced on social media. The threats were taken seriously enough to also cancel the "hi touch" event after the concert.[1]
Reception
Shows in Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City were all sold out in the matter of minutes. BTS performed for over 12,500 fans for the US leg alone.[2] The two concerts in Melbourne and Sydney were also sold out, despite the fact that the cities were located in a place that traditionally doesn't experience that level of success when it comes to selling out venues for K-pop acts.[3]
According to Billboard and Hello Asia! AU Review, BTS made their concert memorable with their outstanding performances.[4]
"A staple of K-pop concerts is the meticulously rehearsed choreography and CD-quality vocals prepared for every performance of the night. For their New York City debut, BTS did that, of course, but also showed a more relaxed and freer side of themselves that made the show that much more memorable -- even with an abrupt finish."
"Bangtan really proved themselves as amazing performers during this concert- their vocalists sound spot on..., their rappers are incredible live..., and their dancing is just so impressively in sync."
