Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Blood Knights

Hey there. I appreciate that there is a standard among Video Game articles that calls for cover art and screenshots, but I personally have stopped uploading non-free cover art and screenshots for the articles I write. This is for two reasons: first, because I disagree with the use of non-free media on Wikimedia Foundation projects, and second, because we are having increasing success at convincing smaller studios to release assets under free licenses (see Fez, Pid, The Splatters, Shelter, etc.). I'm not saying "please stop", because I know that's a losing argument, but I did want to let you know why I did not include images. Sᴠᴇɴ Mᴀɴɢᴜᴀʀᴅ Wha? 21:18, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability on Taiko no Tatsujin articles

Thanks for reading and bringing up the possible notability problems on the above articles. Being of less experience, I figure I might ask you for advice first before contending anything at their (talk) pages.

Referring to WP:N, notability requires sufficient significant coverage by independent and reliable (secondary) sources. I know that all three games has received dedicated coverage on multiple gaming magazines and websites, including both printed and online Dengeki and Famitsu [1] [2] (printed unable to produce), as well as Destructoid [3], Siliconera [4] [5] and TechnologyTell [6] [7]. Notability should not be a problem unless I am mistaken in thinking these sources pass WP:RS, in which case please do tell and instruct/give a list of more recognized RS.

If this looks good to you I will reproduce (the idea) on their (talk) pages. Again thanks for looking out on these articles! --野郎院ひさし//Nigellius Nitrox (talk) 15:11, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure about TechnologyTell but the other sources are reliable sites. I can't speak of the Japanese sources but I wouldn't call the English articles you have linked "significant coverage". It's mostly brief news articles. Can you really build an article with those? A review, preview, or retrospective is what I would call "significant coverage". --Mika1h (talk) 15:37, 21 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks again for the thoughts. But I myself is still quite lacking in expertise to raise the grounds so Talk:Taiko no Tatsujin#Proposal: Merger of individual games wrt. notability. --野郎院ひさし//Nigellius Nitrox (talk) 13:00, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There's some of unreliable sources everywhere like Popdust, Popcrush etc. (check "References"). User:IPadPerson actual removed but in any section. Can you remove unreliable completely? 183.171.165.211 (talk) 14:56, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Firefly

Do you have an idea of where someone who doseesn't know anything about Firefly should start in the series Maybe a book or something? I really wanna get into the series, I hear a lot of good things about it! Thanks! URDNEXT (talk) 21:13, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Start with the TV series, then if you like it, watch the movie. --Mika1h (talk) 21:18, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That's perfect, I'll do it! Thanks! By the way, do you have a favorite episode/character from the series? URDNEXT (talk) 21:24, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability tag removal for Puyo Puyo Tetris

Hi again! Just a heads up that with 4Gamer and Dengeki coverage, especially Dengeki's exclusive interview with the series producer Mizuki Hosoyamada, I am removing the notability tag for Puyo Puyo Tetris. Still needs clean up, and will continue working on it. 野狼院ひさし Hisashi Yarouin 13:54, 25 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Final Fantasy X Release Date Controversy

Hey Mika1h, sorry to disturb you, but I just wanted to let you know why I added the Remastered release date for FFX.

If a game is ported, that means that it's been developed to play on a new system, correct? However, when being ported, a game is always the same. Even if minor changes are added, such as a new level, updated graphics, new voice acting, etc. the main game is still intact. This is why I edited FFX's release date to add the Vita and PS3 ports. While is does have it's own article, it doesn't change the fact that it is now on another system.

For a good example of my reasoning, I point you in the direction of Kingdom Hearts. Even though there's an article for the 1.5 HD collection, the original PS2 version still had it's article updated to add the release dates, consoles it's on, etc. Other Wikipedia articles for classic games with ports such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, many Mario titles, Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, Resident Evil all have the new systems their on added to their line up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spilia4 (talkcontribs) 17:53, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

RE Survivor 2

You are actually mistaken Mika1h. I never copy-and-pasted the contents of Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code: Veronica to Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. Actually both of them were earlier redirects to Resident Evil Code: Veronica since the game Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica was inspired from it and an article about Resident Evil Survivor 2 didn't exist. Since the article didn't exist I requested the redirect Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica to be deleted so I could create an article about the video game RE Survivor 2 and then after that I created the article about the video game by moving the info in my sandbox to the article title Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. You can check about this in the history of the article. Since the game now had its own article I redirected Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code: Veronica from Resident Evil Code: Veronica to Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. You can about this too in its own editing history. As you see you are completely mistaken in assuming that I copy-and-pasted the article. I created the article myself by moving all info from my sandbox to Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. Hence please cancel your request to merge the edit history of Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica and Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. Tekken revisions

Hey there. I noticed you made revisions to the Tekken page, but I had to change them back. Here are the reasons why:

  • Firstly, the table became much more cluttered looking after you revised them, and didn't fit with the opening statement with the Games section.
  • Platform of origin for Tekken is both arcade and PlayStation, and this is because Namco System 11 is based on PlayStation hardware.
  • You added Tekken 7 to the list but it currently is not announced for arcades, and not only that but you added Namco System 478 as the arcade board, which Katsuhiro Harada debunked.

I hope you can be understanding for this. Osh33m (talk) 03:16, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
