Poincare Conjecture
Thanks for your comment. I think that the excerpt I posted there is fair use, isn't it? It was only a short excerpt from the article. Anyway, my intention for putting it on the talk page was that someone else would be able to re-write it. Apart from doing nothing, is there a correct way to upload fragments of this type? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RichardNeill (talk • contribs)

Well, friends, this is it...
I'll be moving to Connecticut tomorrow along with my family. I'll be leaving Wikipedia for a while until everything gets set up at our new home. It all depends on my Internet access, but I'll be seeing you in a week or two. Bye! --Slgr@ndson (page - messages - contribs) 01:55, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Back?
Does this mean you're back? talk to JD wants e-mail 19:06, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- I believe FF is back per the message on this userpage. FF, I'm glad you're back. You may not know me but I know you; you frequently edit-conflict me out in reverting vandalism! :P I'm sure it's true for a lot of other editors, too. Anyway, I'm glad you're feeling better. :) Srose (talk) 19:09, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Might I suggest semi-protecting your sig page? I put mine on RFPP, and you may not have thought of it - if you get vandalised, it could be really nasty. Hope that helps you, and thanks yet againfor the support :) —Xyrael / 11:38, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

I will be stepping lightly at first trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust! Hi Firefox, saw your edit on Delta Flight 5191 and that you're an admin. Could you do the requested page move for that article?
- Delta Flight 5191 → Delta Air Lines Flight 5191 - To match the standard of other Delta Airlines fatalities
Thanks, MikeZ 13:22, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Done. — FireFox (talk) 13:25, 27 August 2006

Thanks for the support, though I think the tally isn't counting your vote because you forgot to implicitly state it. Cheers, Netsnipe (Talk) 20:05, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Robert Spencer
Hello, Firefox: I'm writing in support of AnneCr, who has been temporarily blocked (apparently by you). I would like to appeal that block. The user whose unhelpful edits (unbalanced content, obvious agenda) she reverted was himself blocked yesterday for over a dozen reverts.
The fact that he was blocked makes it clear that someone in the Wikipedia hierarchy thought -- as several of us who have worked on the Spencer article do -- that reversions of his material were justifiable. I would suggest that blocking a user for correcting edits that were enough of a nuisance to get the offender blocked is punishing the wrong party. The 3RR, I believe, is in place to prevent abuse, not to delay its correction.
Thank you for your time. Dy-no-miite 20:14, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Can you please provide specific diff links as to why AnneCr shouldn't be blocked, and supporting your other claims. Thanks, — FireFox (talk) 20:16, 27 August 2006
- Sure. If you look at the History tab for the Spencer article, there were six reverts under her name during the period of August 26. But these were reverts of the rapid-fire nuisance reverts of "Reza1," who, again, reverted the article at least 12 times under that name, and possibly more under his IP address. And vandalism overrides the 3RR. If you go to Reza's Talkpage, you'll see he was blocked for 24 hours as 20:41 GMT yesterday. Dy-no-miite 20:28, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Many thanks. Dy-no-miite 20:35, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

Teke's RfA thanks
Thank you for your support of my RfA, which has passed with a final tally of 76/1/1. With this overwhelming show of support and approval I am honored to serve Wikipedia in the task charged to me and as outlined in my nomination. Happy editing to you! Teke (talk) 17:49, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
