The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 (branded and marketed as the Samsung Galaxy Note7) is an Android phablet smartphone developed and produced by Samsung Electronics. The phone, the successor to the 2015 Samsung Galaxy Note 5, was announced by Samsung on August 2, 2016.[1] It is expected to be released on August 19,2016.

Specifications

Hardware

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inch display with a 1440p curved AMOLED screen. It has 64 GB of internal storage and includes a microSD card slot that can hold upto 256 gb.[1] The inclusion of this port is a response to the criticism Samsung faced in 2015 when it omitted the port from the Galaxy Note 5. Note 7 is the first galaxy to have an iris scanner. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is also Samsung's first smartphone to feature a USB-C port.[1]

Camera

The camera in samsung galaxy note 7 is same as that of the camera in galaxy s7 series. It has 12 megapixel sharp shooting rear camera with f/1.7 aperture. The sensor size is 1/2.6", capable of shooting 4k (2160p) video. The video quality is 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps and 720p@240fps. The secondary camera is of 5 megapixel with f/1.7 and auto HDR

Software

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launches with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.[2]
