International expansion: contradictions.

Seoul, Korea alone probably has over 700 Starbucks. South Korea alone probably more than 870 Stores. I would say 900-1,000 Stores. South Korea need Starbucks Drive-Thru system in all City or City outskirt areas. Weather, people, Culture, family, friends make Starbucks very big business in Korea.

None of the countries listed in the continent columns are referenced, and some listed in there are not colored on the map, e.g. South Africa. -- Jeandré, 2011-06-18t13:43z

I tend to agree with you, but the sourced content at Cyprus#Geography suggests it's not quite as simple as that. I'd like to see consensus for the change. "Starbucks' chairman, Howard Schultz, has talked about making sure growth does not dilute the company's culture[56]" under Corporate Governance. This statement is out of place, newly irrelevant and inaccurate, and currently lacks credibility (the link from 2006 does not provide quality evidence). The rest of this section talks about the governing structure within the company, while this statement stands alone without elaboration. Howard Shultz is no longer the chairman, making this statement inaccurate. Therefore this statement regarding the company's cultural philosophy is no longer relevant. In addition, the link is outdated (2006) while the statement seems to speak in the present (company's culture can change rapidly). The link also does not provide direct credibility for this statement. My wish is for this to be removed or rewritten and moved to a more appropriate location in the article. ☒N Not done and not likely to be done' Wall Street Journal articles are behind a paywall. The non-secure versions of these links provide at most a one paragraph lede to the reader, which is not going to help a reader with verification of the claims any better than the version behind the secure link. They are not dead links and re-directing them to log-in pages is the Journal's right as a commercial entity. Just because they are inconvenient is no reason to change them. The http versions do not supply significantly more information than the https versions and are also mostly paywalled. 18:16, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
