Your refund request at the Interface administrators' noticeboard

Hi Siddiqsazzad001! I saw your refund request at ANINT and wanted to follow up. :-) I noticed that you had requested deletion of your common.css page, but didn't request an undeletion of it in your refund request. In case this is what you meant to do, I went ahead and restored it for you but commented out the lines of code that were present in the file so that you could review them and make sure that this wasn't something you also needed. If it is, great; just remove the code comments and enjoy! :-) If not, just leave a message on my user talk page and let me know - I'll be happy to delete it for you if that is what you wish. I just wanted to make sure that you had the opportunity to look through that file and make sure that you weren't missing any code that you wanted to keep. :-) Cheers - ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 06:00, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wilhelm Schlag page

Hi Siddiqsazzad001, I am following up on the page for Wilhelm Schlag that you declined. You stated that more outside sources are needed. But I think that he satisfies #5 from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(academics) He was Livingston Professor at University of Chicago, a named chair position, as verified at the https://fas.yale.edu/book/new-faculty-2018-19/science/wilhelm-schlag web page that he does not control. Please let me know if I misunderstood the criteria, but I thought Notability of Academics guideline is pretty clear. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Smyy2324 (talkcontribs) 15:58, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Siddiqsazzad001, this article subject clearly passes both WP:PROF#C5 as explained above and WP:PROF#C1 with many citations to his published papers as listed here. I would advise you to revert your decline here. WP:PROF is different from many other notability guidelines in that it is explicitly an alternative to the general notability guideline rather than advice about whether a subject is likely to pass that guideline. Phil Bridger (talk) 16:58, 29 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Smyy2324: My decline reason is for WP:BIO. There are lack of sources. If you think that this is my mistake, then you can resubmit it. Thank you, Siddiqsazzad001 (talk) 06:19, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on K-391 (music producer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello Siddiqsazzad001. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists, and if it does not, from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Siddiqsazzad001. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Siddiqsazzad001|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Template:Z159 SmartSE (talk) 15:03, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. I don't find that credible and consequently shall be blocking you. SmartSE (talk) 17:14, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or self-promoting in violation of the conflict of interest and notability guidelines.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  SmartSE (talk) 17:16, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Smartse: Do you mean for these articles? Yeah, I have been paid for these articles but not for my all editing. So what I have to do now? Shall request for unblocking and putting the name of the client on the talk page? Siddiqsazzad001 (talk) 17:34, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You might also want to explain why you flatly denied it less than hour before making this comment. Beeblebrox (talk) 17:47, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Hi, Admin

I have been blocked for Self-promotion or Advertising. It's because of misunderstandings. Smartse has sent the Uw-paid1 notice. So I thought that Smartse claimed me as a paid editor for my all editing. So Replied, But I didn't edit for paid editing. Our conversion is just about to start, but suddenly Smartse blocked me. I was totally shocked. After a few minutes later I realized that smarts are asking for putting client names for paid relation article. And this is a mistake. If I don't provide the paid client name, then It will be called as black-hat SEO. After that Beeblebrox pointed about my first denied reason. Reason: I thought SmartSE has claimed me as a paid editor for all my editing. And I just about to clarify my paid article information and suddenly got blocked.

Why I should get unblocked? A: As an experienced editor and per previous editing history and quality of editing, I should get unblocked.

If I get unblocked, what I will do? A:

  • I will put the paid template (including employer name and client) to my paid article.
  • If I do next time any paid article then that should be submitted by via AFC. (for avoiding promotional content)

Hope Admin will understand. Thank You, Siddiqsazzad001 (talk) 18:23, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

You are underestimating how bad undisclosed commercial editing is. Posting marketing bullshit on behalf of companies, especially without disclosing, is a fundamentally dishonest act that is illegal in some countries and antithetical to the goal of Wikipedia to create a volunteer curated, impartial, independent and therefore trustworthy encyclopedia. Given that you've been here for two years, you really should know better.

I have also reviewed the evidence at the SPI and agree there is something suspicious there. I also agree with Beeblebrox's observation that you have admitted to proxying for a blocked, and likely banned user. MER-C 09:01, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

There are links to this open SPI Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Japanelemu which suggests being involved in sophisticated and long term abuse. I'd suspect it's meat, but at the very least to consider an unblock I'd need to understand how those articles were written e.g. by who. From the standard of English above it seems unlikely to be this user writing them. SmartSE (talk) 19:20, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Smartse Well, BMG Labtech is provided by the client. He said, "Once he provided MS doc file to a user but after publish that deleted. That's why he provides me the same MS doc file. He told me the user is blocked and that's why the article is deleted. Siddiqsazzad001 (talk) 19:40, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So basically your being paid to use your account to proxy for a blocked user. I certainly wouldn't be inclined to unblock since you've grossly violated both the terms of use and the blocking policy. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:32, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Beeblebrox: No, The client has written that but the publisher (hired a wikieditor) was blocked. He paid for the editing but that work was not completed by the Wiki Editor. There is no relation between his and that user. He just hired but not worked. That's why he looking for an experienced user, which was me. So, please don't claim me as paid for block account. I am just telling the whole story or fact. I am just replying Smartse question. Honestly, this feeling is hurt for me because after working on Wikipedia about 2 years for helping/improving to Wikipedia and the result is "You are working for or under the blocked user. :( Siddiqsazzad001 (talk) 21:56, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Draft problem(s)

Due to proxy editing I am nominating for deletion:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:BMG Labtech requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from URL. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

☆ Bri (talk) 22:19, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
