The 2020 Kabaddi World Cup or 2020 Tapal Tezgam Kabbadi World Cup (for sponsorship reasons) is the seventh edition of the Kabaddi World Cup (Circle style), to be held from 9 February to 16 February 2020 with the Opening Ceremony on 9 February 2020 at the Punjab Stadium, Lahore.[1] The tournament is currently being played in Punjab, Pakistan.[2]

Organization

The tournament was organized by the Government of Punjab, Pakistan, Sports Board Punjab & Pakistan Kabaddi Federation.[3]

Participating nations

The 8 day event has 9 participating nations in the tournament.[4] Kenya didn't came to Pakistan so they were disqualified.

Promotion in media

The World Cup has been promoted on social media by the hashtag #ApniMittiApnaKhel.

Ceremonies

The opening ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Punjab Stadium in Lahore, prior to the first match of the 2020 Kabaddi World Cup between Pakistan and Canada.[5] The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place in Lahore.
