Warmage
A Dungeons & Dragons character class
Publication history
First appearanceMiniatures Handbook (2003)

The warmage is one of the optional character classes in the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game. It was introduced in the Miniatures Handbook and expanded in the Complete Arcane supplement for the 3.5 edition.

The narrow warmage spell list emphasizes battlefield utility to the exclusion of everything else. Charisma (for casting higher-level spells) and Intelligence (for increasing damage done by warmage spells) are both important to the warmage. Warmages can cast spells while wearing light armor or (at 8th level and above) medium armor without risking arcane spell failure.

In the Miniatures Handbook, there was no table of spells known per warmage level, like the table for Sorcerers in the Player's Handbook. The expanded description in Complete Arcane make it clear that every warmage knows all of the warmage spells up to the level he is capable of casting, so no table is needed.

The Complete Arcane also provides a map and background for a warmage college, Tarth Moorda. This college is the focus of the Complete Arcane Web Enhancement.

No published race currently has Warmage as its favored class.
