*To me, "actor, singer, writer, producer, director, comedian, and television host" seems long-winded, and "entertainer" feels more appropriate as it could be elaborated upon further on in the article. *'''Entertainer.''' The lead ought to be a summary. Does the article even go into his work as a singer? Only passing reference to some of these others. I would change it to read "entertainer." [[User:Cool Hand Luke|Cool Hand]] ''[[User talk:Cool Hand Luke|Luke]]'' 21:54, 27 April 2015 (UTC) |

question
When billy crystal was on the letterman show the other day, he asked in a roundabout way if letterman was onboard with the pyramid people.... (to which letterman said he's just a day laborer) - what was he referring to with the 7 chasing 6? i've seen that other places, but haven't understood the reference.
sports fandom
Why the fuck did you delete my section about Crystal's sports fandom?

The 'Mahvelous!' Album
I saw no mention of his 1985 'Mahvelous' album, so I just added a sentence in the TV section. Maybe there should be a separate section for this along with his stand-up specials on HBO? WillieBlues (talk) 03:44, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
films
Why isn't Enola Gay on this list as one of the movies he was in? He was a main character, as the co-pilot, of the aircraft. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.216.84.250 (talk) 15:38, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
Age
On the profile box, it says he was born in 1948, but in the introduction, it says he was born in 1947 and also lists his age as 47. 03:38, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
billie holiday
billie holiday was not her babysitter
the source says: "With his father in the music business, Billy was no stranger to some of the top performers of the time. Legends such as Billie Holiday, Pee Wee Russell, and Eddie Condon regularly stopped by the Crystal household."
i won't change the article. i'll only leave this to your apreciation — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anona2011 (talk • contribs) 14:15, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- Where do these urban legends come from? Man, if Billie Holliday ever babysat me, I hope she would at least have sung me a lullaby before putting me to bed. 207.237.79.219 (talk) 05:54, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
Al Minkman
Wasn't the Saturday Night Live character Al Minkman the proprietor of a high quality joke and novelty merchandise company? I seem to remember a 60 Minutes spoof sketch about cheap novelty toys that injured people who used them, but Minkman's made better stuff, and he detailed the quality of his products for the host, (who imitated Mike Wallace) with the tag line "It's a Minkman!" There was a shady attorney played by Martin Short in this sketch. Joinery1 (talk) 15:47, 3 February 2012 (UTC)
BG News?
How was he Editor-in-Chief of a paper at a college he didn't attend?!
The article cited in the footnote doesn't explain either. 66.105.218.14 (talk) 04:50, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Philantropy?
Do the few and (compared to philantropists) limited actions mentioned under this title really merit their own section? For an actor or otherwise public person, to appear in a favorable way on TV is as much (if not more) getting something as giving something away. Signing your name? Come on. It's really nothing in the context of his entire life, and not very selfless. For most people it's expected you do mostly good, three deeds in the course of a lifetime should not get you a "Philantropy" section in your biography. --84.208.214.73 (talk) 21:12, 30 September 2013 (UTC)

Should Crystal be described as an "actor, singer, writer, producer, director, comedian, and television host" or "entertainer"?
