Warning vandals
Hi, I wonder if you've seen the TW menu that offers warnings for vandals. It is convenient and should automatically put in headings for a new month when appropriate. Thanks for your efforts to combat vandalizm! Nadiatalent (talk) 19:23, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Reviewer permission
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 20:17, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Reviewing
Hi! Regarding this edit that you reviewed as approved, I'm sorry but I had to reverse you because the new name added wasn't in the reference cited. Not all vandalism is blatant, it is often subtle; e.g. changing demographic or sports statistics. This can require a reviewer to fact-check the article and its references before approving or rejecting an edit. Sometimes when I'm still not sure after doing all that, I don't do anything and leave it to editors more familiar with that particular article. Pending changes is still pretty new here, so there's not a lot of documentation on any single "right way" to do reviewing, but I've described some of what I put into it. Hope you find it helpful! --Ashanda (talk) 16:52, 5 February 2011 (UTC)

I have deleted both the redirects at PublicHedgehog456 (talk · contribs · count) to this account. I'm not familiar with your situation here, but if that was a former account of yours you need to log in as that account and make those edits. Regards, Syrthiss (talk) 16:41, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- OK, thanks, I'm sure I put a reason in when I made it, because it's for public places. 123Hedgehog456 16:42, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- You hadn't, but thats fine. I see you've logged in with the other account and made the edits. :) Thanks! Syrthiss (talk) 16:52, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for helping me! That's strange, because I did put in a reason when I created the account. 123Hedgehog456 16:54, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, that I hadn't seen. I was referring to the edit summary I saw when the page popped up in recentchanges. I tried to look at the account creation logs, but nothing was coming up. At your discretion, you might place a notice on your userpage for 123 that public is an alternate account of yours (like my note on my userpage about syrcatbot (talk · contribs · count)). That may help to keep nosy administrators from bugging you needlessly. Syrthiss (talk) 16:57, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

IRC chat
Hello, there is an upcoming, very informal discussion on IRC on the freenode channel ##chzzalpha connect (quick webchat link) on the 6th March 2011 at 17:00 UTC concerning ways to improve help over IRC, and other matters relating to Wiki?edia channels in general, but mostly about #wikipedia-en-help.
This is just a friendly, informal chat. Nothing official, no fixed agenda. There is nothing 'secretive' about it - anyone is quite welcome. Some of you had a chat there, the other day. We wanted to invite them to carry on discussions, at a prearranged time - and thought it courteous to ask group contacts and channel founders too. Or if you signed up manually.
If you aren't at all interested, feel free to remove yourself from the names we've spammed this to, which is in User:123Hedgehog456/IRC informal chat users. If you didn't sign up, well, people have been adding loads of names to the list, so someone might have accidentally added your name.
Thank you, Chzz ► and 123Hedgehog456 19:49, 15 February 2011 (UTC).

Jimmy Ibbotson
Now I have to deal with yet another cyber ghost who thinks he knows more about my own personal life than I do. I AM JIMMY IBBOTSON. I AM MAKING CHANGES TO THE PAGES CONCERNING MY LIFE, MY CHILDREN, MY EX-WIVES, AND MY MUSIC. I am not vandalizing, as you say, these pages or the changes I am making. WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT FOR YOU PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT I SIMPLY ASK FOR A SMALL AMOUNT OF PRIVACY WHEN IT COMES TO MY CHILDREN? I WANT THE PERSONAL LIFE SECTION REMOVED. AS IT HAS BEEN ENTERED BY PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW ME, IT IS VERY INCORRECT! Ibbymusic (talk) 19:47, 6 March 2011 (UTC) JIMMY IBBOTSON
- Hmm, I'm not saying that you aren't Jimmy Ibbotson, but the removal of content from pages without explanation is generally frowned upon. If you are, I believe you: but you need to contact the Wikimedia Foundation and tell them. I'm not even sure if you can request the removal of an encyclopedic content section, but if it incorrect, feel free to remove it, providing a good edit summary with a reliable source containing proof it is incorrect. But keep in mind that people will come along and probably find a source and add the correct information. 123Hedgehog456 19:52, 6 March 2011 (UTC)
This seems to be the major problem with wikipedia. ANYONE can contribute whatever they want, about WHOEVER they want, without accurate sources. Yet, the actual individual being written about CANNOT make changes without contacting the wikipedia foundation? You must be joking. I made my final edit to the personal life section. That's all the public needs to know about my family. Can you understand that, and respect that please?
I do not have the time, nor energy, to correct all of the other mistakes that are contained on many of the other pages some crazed, obsessed fan has written about me.

- Ibbymusic's comment "without reliable sources" is wrong. Most legitimate looking edits still may be reverted if we can't verify them easily. We've got a whole policy on Biographies of living people which was created to stop unsourced addition of content. ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 08:48, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Nice way of promoting ACC
You've got a nice way of promoting ACC in your signature!
PS: you might want to shorten the [http://toolserver.og/~acc Request an account] to [[tools:~acc|Request an account]]. It makes the signature a wee bit smaller ManishEarthTalk • Stalk 13:23, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- Aww, thanks. I've added the new link and it looks a lot better now! Hope the pending requests come streaming in, I'm bored. --123Hedgehog456 : 16:36, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- I'm dropping by to say the same thing. It's a great way to encourage users to create accounts. I only worked ACC in the dead of night so most of the requests seem to have come from India. Quite frankly, it was totally boring so I stopped. I'd like to get active again there eventually though. Anyway, it's a great idea.
- PS: I like your page notice. Regards, 07:41, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
- Aww, thanks. My pagenotice seems a bit mad, but I was in a mad mood when I made it. I hope lots of people start promoting ACC, or at least using it. --123Hedgehog456 : 07:47, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
- I would pick up the idea of promoting ACC, but I don't know if I could factor it in to my sig well enough.

- Since most of my work is vandalism reversion, my signature ends up on a lot of talk pages, so ACC is promoted a lot. --123Hedgehog456 : Create an account! 08:18, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Yes, my userpage contains details. I was here on a previous account for about a year, can't remember, before forgetting my password. --123Hedgehog456 : Create an account! 08:37, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi. Nice to see the improvements. What do you think of that dingy Planet Produce image? I tried to get rid of it last year but User:Zaps93, who created it, reverted, and I couldn't be bothered to pursue it. One thing that the image is doing currently is creating white space to the left of the infobox, so, if it has to remain, it would be best to relocate it right at the bottom, presumably with some short reference to the company, which has a website. (I'm also wondering whether some of the Fleece stuff should be moved to the Fleece article.) Best. --GuillaumeTell 18:04, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well, yes, I agree with all your suggested improvements. It'd be nice to describe industry in the area, and the education section needs quite a bit of improvement to fully describe standards of education in the village. Also, it does seem quite ridiculous to have the section on the Fleece bigger than its own article. I'll try and find a few reliable sources about industry and education, and move the image. And improve the Fleece section. It'd be nice to have some help. --123Ħeðŋeħøŋ456 18:09, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
