Appearance
The season 1965-66 of the European Cup Winners' Cup football club tournament was won by Borussia Dortmund in an extra-time final victory at Hampden Park against Liverpool. This edition of the European Cup Winners' Cup was the very first competition in history to apply the away goals rule.
