Vishwanath Pratap Singh was sworn in as Prime Minister of India on 2 December 1989. His initial ministry consisted of the following Cabinet ministers and their departments. The Cabinet was functional from the 2 December 1989 to 10 November 1990. The name of K.P.Unnikrishnan is missing from the list of cabinet ministers. He was the minister of shipping and surface transport. He held the communication ministry also as an additional portfolio.
