The 2021 Houston Dynamo FC season is the club's 16th season of existence since joining Major League Soccer in the 2006 season.[1] The Dynamo missed the playoffs in 2020 for the 6th time in 7 years.

2021 is the Dynamo's second year with head coach Tab Ramos and the seventh season under General Manager Matt Jordan. On the front office end, it is Gabriel Brener's sixth season as majority owner and John Walker's third season as President of Business Operations.[2]
