Karmozd (Template:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Kārmozd)[3] is a village in Valupey Rural District of the Central District of Savadkuh County, Mazandaran province, Iran. According to historians, the name of this village was adapted from Hormoz, the king of Iran; over time, it evolved to its present name.[citation needed]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 352 in 86 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 624 people in 172 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,011 people in 334 households; it was the largest village in its rural district.[2]
