Kelar-e Sharqi Rural District (Template:Lang-fa) is in Kelar District of Abbasabad County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Charez.[3]

At the National Census of 2011, its population was 4,261 inhabitants in 1,354 households.[4] At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,409 in 795 households. The largest of its six villages was Charez, with 978 people.[2]
