Farahabad-e Jonubi Rural District (Template:Lang-fa) is in Rudpey-ye Shomali District of Sari County, Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Panbeh Chuleh-ye Pain. Prior to the formation of the rural district, its constituent villages were in Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District of Rudpey District.[3]
After the 2006 census, Rudpey-ye Jonubi Rural District and Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Rudpey District.
In 2013, Rudpey-ye Gharbi Rural District was established in Rudpey District, and Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural District was separated from the district in the establishment of Rudpey-ye Shomali District, which was divided into two rural districts.[3]
At the most recent census of 2016, the population of Farahabad-e Jonubi Rural District was 5,826 in 1,846 households. The largest of its 13 villages was Esfandan, with 973 people, the same reported for the rural district's capital.[2]
