Nana is a village in the Bali, tehsil of Pali District of the Rajasthan state in India. It is located three kilometres from the railway station of the same name on the Ahmedabad-Ajmer railway line. Virampura, bhagal, Chamunderi, Velar, bhimana, Amalia,serla,chimanpura are nearly village. Pindwada-bali road is just passing near by nana.Virampura is close to Nana just one km. Nana just become sub-block division declerd. Nana police station is also located at railway station just two km from town.nearby city is pindwara 20 km, Sumerpur 40 km, Sheoganj 40 km, shirohi 42 km, aburoad 70 km from Nana. nearest airport is udaipur 120 km away. and jodhpurs is 200 km. District headquarter pali is 100 km from Nana.

History

The ancient name for Nana was Nanaka.in It is an historical village and existed as far back as the 10th century, as is known from the inscription of 960 AD in the Jain temple. At various times in its history, the area was ruled from Gujarat, Nadol, Sirohi, Mount Abu and Mewar. In 1602 AD it was governed by Maharao Gangna Balecha (Chouhan) As He had No Son, while the area was given to his Younger Daughter's Son Who is son Rana Shekha, (local son of Maharana Pratap)at The Time of Maharao Munja Balecha(Chouhan) Thakur of Katargarh Near Sewari. Nana had a population of 12,298 according to the Census 2001. Males were 6288 of the population and females were 6010. The neighbour surroundings are villages like Virampura, Chamunderi Ranawatan, Bera, Kothar, Pindwara, Malnoo.

Jain Temple

This place is associated with Jainism, where the life-size image of Mahavira was once worshipped. Nanavala or Jnanakiya gachchha (Jain saint community) was founded at Nanea by Prabhananda.Village Nana is also described in ancient Jain books. It is called as "NANA Diyana Nandiya...Jiwit Mahavir Swami Vihariya..." You can see ancient jain temple of Lord Mahavir. It is said that this temple is around 2600 years old. This idol is 120 cm in height. Recently Shree Munisuvrat Swami temple is also established on 16 May 2013 by huge make over.

Nathji Temple

This place is famous and well known temple of nana and nearby places this temple is made and named after a saint. This saint had given a big contribution to this village. As per written in myths. Every year the people also conduct fair after this temple. A women gave her all property and a huge amount of money in the development of the temple.

Idol Discovery

This idol was found by a farmer under a Kanther tree. He entrusted the idol to the Jain Sangha. The Jain Sangha built a temple and got the idol installed there. In course of time, it was renovated several times. On the sixth day of the dark half of the month of Posh in the year 2008 of the Vikram era, the chief idol and other idols are formally installed here under instructions and good auspices of Acharyadevshri Labdhisurishvarji Maharaj Saheb. This temple is very delightful and beautiful.

Other Temples

In Nana City Have Two Big Temple First Is Shri Nath Ji And Second Is Nilkanth Mahadev .Nana was once home to a 10th-century temple of Nilakantha Mahadeva. There is also an early temple dedicated to Laxmi Narayana, known earlier as Chakrasvami temple. Nearby Village Chamunderi nearly six kilometres from the Nana Railway station's famous temple of Chamunda Mata.

the most known Songiri hanumaji temple is located nearby Nana just 5km.
