"Blackbird" is a song written and performed by Finnish duo Norma John. It represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, finishing 12th in the first semi-final.[1][2]

The song was first released on 9 January 2017, and then it released as a digital download on 21 February 2017, through EMI Finland.

Eurovision Song Contest

Norma John was announced to be competing in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2017, Finland's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest 2017, on 23 November 2016.[3] They competed in the Finnish final held on 28 January 2017, where they won both the jury vote and public vote, being declared the winners. They represented Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017.[1] Finland competed in the first half of the first semi-final but did not make it through to the grand final.[4][5] However, if it was a televoting decision alone, they would've qualified as 10th (or borderline) qualifier with 51 points.
