Shikha Singh (born 7 February 1986) also known by her married name Shikha Singh Shah is an Indian television actress notable for her acting performances in Na Aana Is Des Laado, Mahabharat and Kumkum Bhagya.[1]

Career

Acting

Singh debuted her TV journey through SAB TV's Left Right Left as Cadet Aakriti Bhat.[2] She was next seen in Zee TV's Meri Doli Tere Angana and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan.[3]

In 2009, she starred on Colors TV's Uttaran as Kukki. The very next year Singh entered Colors TV's social drama Na Aana Is Des Laado as Amba Sangwan and quit in 2011.[4]

She collaborated with Colors TV third and consecutive time, for Phulwa.[5] She begun 2013 with Life OK's 26/12 in the character of Shahana Malik and next bagged Adaalat.[6]

It was followed playing Meghna Singhania in Sasural Simar Ka on Colors, and Singh portrayed the brave girl warrior Shikhandi in the epical TV series Mahabharat; both roles were from 2013–14.[7]

Since 2014 she has been enacting the character Alia Mehra in Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV opposite Vin Rana and did the same role on its spin-off Kundali Bhagya from 2017–18.[8]

Other works

In addition to her acting performances Singh appeared as herself in Sony Entertainment Television's Jubilee Comedy Circus (2008).[9] She anchored the channel exchanging series Gold Safe (2009–10).[10] She was seen on Comedy Nights Bachao in 2015 and 2016.[11]

Personal life

Singh married Karan Shah in April 2016 and was revealed to be pregnant in April 2020.[12] The couple is blessed with a baby girl named 'Alayna Singh Shah' born on 16 June 2020.[13][14]
