Dawson Simpson (born 17 February 1989) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the Australian Football League (AFL). Simpson is a 210 cm tall ruckman from the Murray Bushrangers. He was originally drafted by Geelong in 2007.

Simpson was hindered by a back injury in the first half of 2012 however he regained fitness managing 2 appearances in the AFL, taking his career tally to five games in five seasons.

He underwent back surgery in the lead-up to the 2013 season, however he was able to break into the team, turning in some impressive performances before suffering a serious knee injury during the round 18 clash with St Kilda.

In October 2015, he joined GWS Giants as an unrestricted free agent.[1] On Friday 16 August 2019 he announced that he will retire from the AFL at end of the season.
