Buntong (Chinese: 文冬, Tamil: புந்தோங்) is a suburb of Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.[1] Buntong is one of the largest Indian people residential places at Ipoh, Perak. In 1915,  Buntong was announced as the New Tamil Settlement place. This was located on the eastern side of Sungai Pari, in the outskirts of Ipoh. Buntong was originally called as “Guntong” was occupied by Tamil Communities by many religious faiths.
