  • curprev 18:2518:25, 4 November 2018Hemmingjohn talk contribs 13,255 bytes +1,973 The existing version confused Rice's 1919-20 expedition with that in 1924-25 and garbled the route of the former - the Casiquiare Canal joins the upper Orinoco with the Rio Negro, not the Rio Branco. The Yanomami are in no sense cannibalistic, and Rice's shooting and killing Yanomami in 1919 was disgraceful not funny as depicted in the Harvard journal. Rice's publications in The Geographical Journal are his most important, and should be mentioned. undo
