Athletics at the 1978 Commonwealth Games

The host stadium for the 1978 edition was later used by the Edmonton Eskimos.

At the 1978 Commonwealth Games, the athletics events were held at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. A total of 38 events were contested, of which athletes 23 were male and 15 female.
