Barharia (Vidhan Sabha constituency) (Hindi: बरहरिया विधान सभा निर्वाचन क्षेत्र) is an assembly constituency in Siwan district in the Indian state of Bihar.
Overview
As per Delimitation of Parliamentary and Assembly constituencies Order, 2008, No. 110 Barharia (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is composed of the following: Pachrukhi community development block; Tarwara, Kunwa, Rasulpur, Padrauna Khurd, Koirigawa, Balapur, Madhopur, Barasara , Barharia, Sadarpur, Tetahli, Nawalpur, Bahuara Kadir, Bahadurpur, Hardobara, Bhamopali, Rachhopali, Rampur, Bhopatpur, Sikandarpur, Bhaluara, Hariharpurlalgarh, Chaukhi Hasan and Dindayalpur gram panchayats of Barharia CD Block.[1]
Barharia (Vidhan Sabha constituency) is part of No. 18 Siwan (Lok Sabha constituency).[1]
Election results
In the 2010 state assembly elections, Shyam Bahadur Singh of JD(U) won the Barharia assembly seat defeating Mahammad Mobin of RJD.[2]
some views for 2015 assembly election
once again barharia voters are ready to caste their votes. Here if Mahagathbandhan (JD(U), RJD,Congress) gives present JD(U) Mla shyam bahadur singh an another chance then definitely mahagathbandhan should lose this seat. Muslims community should play prominent role but this time NDA have an edge against its rival in this constituency. In case if this seat offer to the alliance partner of BJP like LJP or RLSP then it is better for Mahagathbandhan. In this constituency BJP have strong hold so before offering this seat to its alliance BJP should think a lot. Many candidates of NDA are campaigning this days but collective reports said that gabbar yadav, Vivek patel, Anil giri will be a good candidate for this constituency from bjp. Whereas RLSP should give the tickets to his district president Awdhesh kushwaha if the seat is offers to RLSP. A survey said ( reports based on the survey conducted in the middle of August 2015)
