Daanish Schools is an innovative education project of Pakistan. It is established on the initiative of Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif in 2009. Presently 5216 students are studying in 14 Daanish schools (7 for Boys and 7 for Girls).[1] The first schools started functioning in Dera Ghazi Khan, Hasilpur, Bahawalpur and then in Bahawalnagar. It is a free education project to help poor people in Pakistan. It is continued by Minister Sharif.[2] The school administration is run on an act uniquely established for these schools called The Daanish School Act.

Daanish Schools are located at Rahim Yar Khan, Hasilpur, Chishtian, Mianwali and Mankera
On 13 January 2011 the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif, inaugurated the first Daanish School at Rahim Yar Khan. Daanish Schools (Boys and Girls) in Hasilpur District, Bahawalpur were started in January 2011. Daanish Schools (Boys and Girls) at Harnoli District, Mianwali started functioning in May 2012. Daanish Schools (Boys and Girls) at Dera Ghazi Khan started functioning in May 2010.
