A international language is a language used as a means of communication between speakers of different countries and/or of different cultures.
This means of communication or communication vehicle could be a official language that fulfills this role of facilitating communication between people who would otherwise be difficult to understand each other, due to, for example, having different mother tongues, but undoubtedly and in this case, this would give an advantage to the native speakers.
