"Et uus saaks alguse" is a song recorded by Estonian singer Birgit Õigemeel. The song was written by Mihkel Mattisen and Silvia Soro and produced by Mihkel Mattisen and Timo Vendt. It is best known as Estonia's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 to be held in Malmö, Sweden.[1] The song will compete in the first semi-final on 14 May 2013 for a spot in the final on 18 May 2013. The title translates "So there can be a new beginning".
Alongside Õigemeel, 3 backing vocalists Kaido Põldma, Lauri Pihlap and Raimondo Laikre will appear on stage, while Põldma and Pihlap did the same in 2001 when Estonia won the contest in Copenhagen.
