In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the kamadan is a type of magical beast.

Publication history

The kamadan first appeared in the original first edition Fiend Folio (1981).[1]

The kamadan and the kamatlan appeared in second edition in for the Maztica setting in the Maztica Campaign Set (1991).

The kamadan appeared in third edition in Dungeon #136 (July 2006).

Description

A kamadan resembles a large leopard, with a long body, a tawny coat, and rosette-shaped spots. Three green snakes, about three feet long each, sprout from each shoulder. A kamadan's tail is like that of any large cat.
